01/09/2026: A small but excellent restaurant that also caters to celiacs.
We made a reservation about a week in advance, mentioning that one of us has celiac disease and therefore needs to eat gluten-free. They assured us that this wouldn't be a problem and that we should simply mention it again when we arrived.
They have a small but regularly changing menu, offering a choice of 4-5 dishes each for the appetizer, main course, and dessert for a three-course meal. Our celiac partner still had a choice of 2 out of 4 appetizers, all 5 main courses, and 3 out of 4 desserts.
If there's any doubt, a course can be adapted (e.g., by omitting the topping of various seeds if there's any uncertainty).
The meat/fish for the main courses is always freshly prepared over the fire in the wood-burning stove. We always enjoy the food immensely, and it has been an absolute must for us on every vacation for years. This year (2026) is the first time we've had celiac disease on board, and it's been an absolutely positive experience in terms of "eating out" for our celiac daughter.

18/08/2026: Overpriced and lacking in customer service. No advice offered; we asked questions and the response was: "Well, that's the way it is."
18/08/2026: A truly disappointing experience
As a resident of Barneville-Carteret, I was eager to discover this caterer and try their products. So, we decided to go, hoping to explore and get some advice.
The products we tasted were good, no complaints there. However, we were very disappointed by the welcome we received.
There was no friendliness, no advice, and above all, we felt like we were bothering them when we asked questions. When we inquired about the products, the waitress's response was simply: "Look, it's right here in front of you."
It's a real shame, because when you discover a caterer, especially as a local customer, you expect to be greeted with at least a little warmth and to be able to get some advice.
The products are good, but the welcome and the level of service clearly need improvement. For me, this first experience unfortunately doesn't make me want to return.
