25/09/2024: We visited on our way back to the UK, one of the joys of France is going to their supermarkets as they are incredible compared to the UK, and this Auchan didn't disappoint! It is huge, with a garden centre as well, and a large home department, but as always it was the food section that really wowed us. A huge fresh food selection, and the butchery/deli area has an incredible range of meats including offal and lesser known cuts - onglet, bavette etc for sale which is incredibly hard to find in the UK. There is also an actual butcher out the back which you can see behind the glass where they make their own sausages and other meat products like the marinated items. And you can't talk about a French supermarket without mentioning the bread and patisserie - wonderful selection and the eclairs we bought were delicious. We also received great service - there was an Auchan staff member who heard us talking in English about a beer we couldn't find, and he stepped in to ask if he could help and he helped us find what we were looking for! Great service. Definitely one of the better Auchan's around, and if you're on your way back to the UK, definitely worth making a stop here!

21/09/2024: 12/24/2020: Although this Auchan hypermarket is not new, it is huge, well stocked and offers rather reasonable prices. It's the first time I've been here and I'm not disappointed. Despite the crowds, the checkout was quick. The staff remains pleasant, available and resists the pressure of this New Year's Eve. Well done ! Now that I live in Dunkirk, Auchan is my go-to supermarket. I do 80% of my shopping there.
