23/11/2025: We received a very warm welcome upon arrival at 1 p.m. with a reservation. We enjoyed an aperitif, a country-style platter (ham, salad, chorizo, and baked Camembert) 👍 We also had a full Welsh rarebit, a salmon Welsh rarebit, a mixed grill (chicken, lamb chop, flank steak, and grilled bacon), and lamb shank 👍😋 And a gourmet coffee 👍 This is a very good restaurant. For the same price per person, we've been to restaurants that were nowhere near this level.

20/01/2026: Team lunch (10 people), we decided to leave early (11:45 am) to be served first. To our surprise, we were a table of 10 (so well over €200 per table). One person in our team decided to order a starter and dessert (they were sick that day), and we were told, as if it were perfectly normal, that there would be a €3 surcharge on the starter if ordered without a main course (even reputable restaurants don't do that). The starter wasn't even a larger size (well, obviously, otherwise it wouldn't be profitable enough...). Otherwise, the rest of the meal was fine; overall, everything was good (the chef was good), but we had to wait an hour while tables of 4 were served before us, even though we arrived after us, which prevented us from having dessert... We all agreed that we wouldn't be coming back here, and after all, we weren't profitable enough for them.

18/01/2026: A very pleasant restaurant, the food is delicious and the service is very efficient and friendly. The Flemish carbonnade was excellent and the salted caramel French toast was superb.

30/01/2026: The waiter was incredibly welcoming and helpful, doing everything to meet our needs and make us feel comfortable. The meal was generously portioned and very appetizing. The dishes were delicious. Just one disappointment with the dessert: a chocolate fondant that was still good, but not homemade... so we were expecting something homemade to match the quality of the other dishes. A slight lack of tranquility can be felt as some tables are quite close together. The restaurant and restrooms were spotless and hygienic. I highly recommend this restaurant because the value for money is excellent, which is becoming rare, and also for the warm welcome. Thanks to the very competent kitchen staff for making our meal so enjoyable! We frequented this restaurant for lunch and dinner 😉

13/01/2026: I went during the week. The "Ambush" burger was delicious, with a high-quality ground beef patty cooked exactly as requested (for once!), served with excellent fries and a well-seasoned salad. I finished it off with a small coffee, which was also very good. The menu is adequate and the prices are reasonable. I didn't get a chance to try the desserts because my main course was quite large. Excellent value for money.

16/10/2025: Had to take a break from my meal to write this review, best filet américain of my life!! 😮 Warm welcome, fast service, and really, that filet américain... it's to die for! The portion is more than generous (I've already eaten half of it in the photo, and I don't want it to end 😢)

02/12/2025: Pleasant restaurant, friendly staff. As already mentioned in the reviews, the portion of salmon terrine with three peppercorns and dill cream, even considering the price, was too small to be enjoyable. I recommend the semi-cooked foie gras with roasted beetroot, honey, and thyme (beetroot is served in a separate ramekin for those who don't like it). Regarding the main courses, the pan-seared scallops with celery root purée and pistachio were perfectly executed, the pan-seared prawns with Fourme d'Ambert sauce and curry were good (a small bowl for waste would be a nice touch), and the dish of the day (chicken blanquette) was good. However, the chicken gratin with Maroilles cheese and endives needs improvement as it was far too greasy (I pointed this out to the waiter). The selection of wines, cocktails, soft drinks, coffee, and even the Irish coffee was excellent.
