There was such a variety of greens and mushrooms used in my dish and the duck was amazing. I really appreciated the bread and how opinionated it was, it went well with the reduction that came with the dish You will walk out happy, and welcomed, wanting to come back again. I wish I lived in Lyon, just so I can go here more often

23/05/2026: Great place. food was impeccable especially the duck, quenelle was absolutely spectacular. The service was amazing, Isabel was so friendly and welcoming. She interacted with us by asking a few questions and explaining things we didn’t understand about the city, she also asked for a few words in our home language asking us how to say welcome, Mabuhay in Filipino then trying some new words. She spoke to us like an old friend, we had the best time with her. The atmosphere was nice, it felt traditional and welcoming. We ordered Duck, Quenelle, tripe, and cassoulet it was delicious. The dessert was unimaginable, especially the chocolate one, and the crème brûlée too! After asking us some Filipino words, she tried having a conversation in Filipino with us, she mentioned that she would write Mabuhay on the window tomorrow morning! Our experience here was incredible, I definitely recommend going here.

22/05/2026: For dinner on May 21, 2026, we ordered foie gras, salmon, duck breast, and lemon tart. The food was delicious and met our expectations. The owner was very friendly and spoke a little Mandarin.

05/07/2026: It was a real pleasure to return once again. You can truly sense a cuisine full of personality, where Mexican flavors meet French gastronomy in a very creative and perfectly balanced way. The menu was original, refined, and above all, remarkably coherent from beginning to end. I particularly enjoyed the subtlety of the combinations, the skillful use of chilies, sauces, and textures, always with excellent balance. It's inventive, but never overly showy: everything on the plate has meaning. You can feel a real identity behind this cuisine, a great deal of talent, and a chef who dares to offer something personal and masterful. An address I sincerely recommend.

This restaurant is tucked away on a quiet street in the Croix-Rousse district, away from the hustle and bustle. And yet! Fresh ingredients, a carefully curated menu, a wine list with superb selections, and incredibly friendly, attentive staff who go above and beyond to meet our needs. The owners are approachable and always happy to chat. I highly recommend this restaurant to all food lovers and epicureans!

28/07/2026: During our visits to Lyon, Le Canut et Les Gones is always a reliable choice. This time, we stopped there for lunch while passing through – and it was, as always, excellent. The menu may seem small at first glance, but it offers everything we need as a family. Perhaps that's why all the dishes are so delicious. The pleasant atmosphere and attentive service guarantee our return.

12/07/2026: First time at Bouillon for me and my partner. It's definitely worth the money, given the very affordable price. The fries were pretty good, the meat was decent but not very flavorful, the pea soup was quite good (as was the chocolate raspberry fondant), but the avocado and shrimp dish was questionable and the rosé wine jug clearly hadn't been washed...

10/07/2026: What a disappointment! I used to love Café Bul when it was warm and welcoming. Yesterday, I went back with a friend. The waiter who served us, a tall man with glasses, was incredibly rude: no smile, no eye contact, no consideration whatsoever. We clearly felt like we were bothering him. I should mention that another waiter was there, and this comment has absolutely nothing to do with him. A café can be lovely and well-located, but without a minimum of politeness and hospitality, the experience becomes quite disappointing. I'm sadly no longer recognizable as the Café Bul of the hospitality I once appreciated. A smile costs nothing, especially when you work in the hospitality industry. Perhaps it's time to reconsider your career choice, sir. Sincerely, Naïm
