15/09/2026: Very friendly staff, plenty of mussels with many different sauces We'll be back

13/09/2026: I was disappointed with my lunch yesterday. I ordered mussels, but they seemed to have been reheated: they were dry and not very good. It's a shame, because I was expecting a better meal. I hope it was just a one-off, but personally, I didn't enjoy it.

19/09/2026: Oysters, prawns, mussels Lots of delicious things, typically served with wine. The service was uncomplicated, attentive, and very courteous 👍🏻✨ Would love to come back again.

16/09/2026: A Cape Town institution, go there for a little aperitif with friends or family, enjoying shellfish, tielles (a local savory pie) and white wine. The setting is superb.

04/09/2026: We've been visiting this friendly restaurant for about fifteen years. The owner and his staff will do everything they can to ensure your satisfaction... numerous menu choices... sometimes Belgian specialties for those who are curious... like Flemish carbonnade (a kind of beef Bourguignon with dark beer).

02/10/2026: We were a group of 20. The service was quick and everyone was happy with their choice of dishes. The setting is also very nice. Highly recommended.

29/09/2026: We had no reservation on market day and chose this restaurant based on its overall rating. However, several points lead us to give it 3 stars, such as: - The quality of the food is acceptable, but nothing special. The finger bowl placed directly on the plate, in contact with the food, is not a very hygienic practice in our opinion. It could have been placed in the bowl intended for food waste (the presence of the bowl was appreciated). - The politeness of one of the servers left much to be desired (no response to a "hello"). - The plate was removed before the last bite had been taken. At the end of the 2026 season, the restaurant was not full, and no one was waiting for a table. - A heated exchange between one of the waitresses and the adjacent table. We don't have the full account, but the curt tone used made us uncomfortable. Nothing insurmountable to improve the culinary experience in this establishment with its very pleasant setting.
