I was told, "It's simple and effective." I can confirm, it's so effective that my stomach didn't even have time to protest.
🥘 Taste of the Food
The food is excellent. You can tell the chef isn't faking it: it's fresh, it's delicious, and it has that "come back for more" flavor. If happiness were edible, it would probably look like this.
🏃♂️ The Service
The service? A true Swiss watch, but with a Cévennes smile. It's clean, precise, and incredibly smooth. I barely had time to wonder if I was thirsty before my glass was already there. At this level of speed, I suspect the team is secretly training for a marathon.
🧐 Why "only" 4 stars?
Because with such efficiency, the meal goes by far too quickly! I wish I had an excuse to linger two more hours, gazing at my empty plate.
In short: A no-frills place where the food is divine. Go without hesitation, but keep your mouth open!

12/02/2026: Once a benchmark in the industry, the food was delicious and the service impeccable.
Today, here is my informed opinion after two recent visits.
The ingredients are of poor quality, and the preparation is equally subpar.
And what about the 40-minute wait for the daily special?
We won't be returning, which is a real shame.
Tourists will get a very bad impression of the region.
12/02/2026: We came back to try again because we were disappointed last time, but it was another failure and we won't be returning.
A 40-minute wait for a burger with a dry, frozen bun and mediocre filling (grilled bacon and bad meat), accompanied by equally frozen fries. Everything was incredibly salty; in short, it was awful.
We left as quickly as possible, without dessert or coffee, and extremely frustrated.
How could a restaurant that used to serve such good food and impeccable service have declined so drastically?!

07/12/2025: I don't usually leave reviews, but this time I had to:
Dinner with friends (table of 6) on a Saturday evening, sumptuous, magnificent setting. The lady and gentleman who served us were exceptionally kind.
As for the meal, it's simple: DELICIOUS! The foie gras was to die for. Personally, I had a fish quenelle with crayfish cream: I can't remember the last time I enjoyed fish so much.
As for the prices: simply commensurate with the quality of the experience, as I often say: "quality remains, price is forgotten."
Thank you for this lovely moment of calm and quality; we will be back.

06/09/2024: Comme je ne travaille pas gratuitement, que j en ai marre que des multinationales comme se gavent, défiscalisent à outrance, ben je garde mon avis pour moi
27/08/2024: Un petit établissement en dehors de la rue passante, bien caché et offrant un concept original d'assiette gourmande faites avec des produits bio, locaux, et bien cuisinés, plein de saveurs et de couleurs.
Une belle petite adresse qui mérite ces quelques dizaines de mètres de détour!

15/08/2024: We had a very good dinner there. There were 8 of us and had reserved a table earlier, so they were able to reserve their table for us under the hut, very pretty setting. Our plates were generous, hot goat's cheese salad, pok bowl, pizza, as well as the children's menu with real cheese burgers. The ice cream was very good too (with pieces inside). The waitresses were very pleasant. Everything went very well, I recommend.

Despite purchasing two boxes and one chocolate bar for €45, and visiting on a recommendation, we were offered no discount or tasting, while the customer behind me received a free chocolate. The welcome was quite cold and unfriendly for a first group visit!

23/08/2024: Nous avons dîner à 4 un soir de semaine.
La carte est sympathique et alléchante.
Tous les plats sont très bons mais les portions sont petites. Il ne faut pas avoir une grosse faim! C'est un peu dommage.
Nous avons noté également un service un peu Express, nous n'avions pas terminé les apéros que les plats étaient là ! Pas grave pour ceux qui avaient des tartares mais pour les plats chauds, plus compliqué.
L'accueil et le cadre compensent tout de même ces désagréments.
19/08/2024: Nous avons passé une super soirée au bar, l ambiance est top les cocktails excellents et le personnel très sympa. Nous reviendrons c'est sûr
