Simply disappointed by the presentation of the child's dish - 10 years old, even if the price of €10 is very low and I don't expect anything special, a small presentation with 2 salad leaves and 3 cherry tomatoes would enhance it much better. children's dish. 30/03/2024: Sunday, 3 p.m., interruption of service in the Grau restaurants, normal. On its window the England Café quai Colbert displays buckwheat pancakes, tapas, ice creams, non-stop service. Great ! — Can we eat a savory pancake at this time? — No problem, says the waitress. We are two quiet ladies, we sit on the terrace. Menu, order, tasting, good pancakes, no problem. — Would you like dessert? The ice cream called Café Liège shown in the window winks at us. — A Liège coffee and a Liège chocolate, please. The boss arrives with two cups, a coffee and a hot chocolate with a hat of whipped cream. — ??? Well sorry Sir, we ordered ice cream, like on the menu. Everyone can be wrong, we add as it should. Not happy with the gentleman, who leaves with his tray. The waitress who tells us she is her sister, comes back, much less friendly, to have the order confirmed and specifies: — I knew it was ice cream. — ??? Around us, people sit, order, pay, are replaced by new ones who order, pay, we wait. None of the servers want to come to our table anymore. We decide to cancel. What else? One of us goes into the café to cancel and pay for the pancakes. At the bar the cook, apparently. — Your ice creams are made, he said (for a long time, he almost added). Another person brings back from the kitchen two poor melted Lièges where the decorative parasols are gradually sinking. —And what do I make with it, ice cream? When I think that you were made to eat at 3 o'clock in the afternoon! the cook shouts beside himself. — ??? You said non-stop service. One is still waiting to pay for the pancakes, the cafe owners who surround her, hostile, wonder if they are going to ask her to also pay for the people of Liège who are now in liquid form. The other comes in, worried. The cook concludes, hatefully: - That's it, go for a walk, you're stupid. At the England Café, passing tourists don’t count, even if they make money. So to run a café, you don’t need to know Liège or courtesy. By the way, I live in Le Grau and I love my city and especially its port.

01/03/2024: Well located on the Colbert quay with a terrace overlooking the channel, you can admire the fishermen returning from their day at sea. Gulls on the lookout for the slightest fish that might fall.

29/02/2024: We had lunch there this afternoon, nice restaurant, the octopus was super good, very nice atmosphere, the owner offered us two glasses of wine and the digestive!!! If that’s not commercial!!! Plus there was plenty of sunshine at the water’s edge!! A delight to repeat without fail )))))
