18/07/2026: I visited the Franck Labasse pastry shop in Pessac with my family; the employees are always attentive and offer exceptional value for money.
08/07/2026: I called this morning to ask if they had any cheesecakes.
The person told me no, but that they could make some for me this afternoon without any problem.
I thought that was very kind of them.
And after eating them, I can confirm they were fantastic! Very tasty and very pretty.

06/07/2026: Loving this chain, this coffee shop is rather disappointing. You can tell it's rushed; the employees don't really know the products, and the portions are extremely stingy with the specialty items compared to other coffee shops in France. Otherwise, the taste is decent, but it's not the best coffee shop.

Choosing dishes in advance is essential.
The dining room is pleasant, although not air-conditioned; a few fans do the job if you're seated well.
The food and service were efficient despite the large number of guests. The food was good, and there were no complaints from the other diners.
The parking lot fills up very quickly, so park outside as soon as possible (if there are no spaces, you'll have to drive all the way around...).
10/07/2026: Lots of dishes on the menu, mostly beautifully presented except for the soufflé which was undercooked.
The service was extremely slow.
The setting was pleasant but noisy due to the fans installed to compensate for the lack of air conditioning.
So, overall, a mixed review for me, and rather disappointing compared to previous reviews.

25/07/2026: I bought half a loaf of rye flour bread, which was inedible—a brick that the saleswoman refused to cut, and I understand why! Selling three-day-old bread is shameful; they might as well give it away to the homeless in the neighborhood that evening.

14/07/2026: I'm really disappointed to see the quality decline since April.
The madeleines are nothing like they used to be: they're often hard, sometimes still cold inside, other times completely dry. And for the last two or three weeks, there haven't been any chocolate chips at all. At first, I thought it was a mistake, but after coming back several times, the observation is the same. At €1.10 a madeleine, you'd expect a minimum level of quality.
I've also noticed that the croissants are smaller than they used to be.
As for the service, it really depends on who's there. The young, dark-haired man is always smiling, welcoming, and in a good mood. On the other hand, the two saleswomen (one blonde and one young brunette) often give the impression that serving customers bothers them. They sometimes chat amongst themselves about their absent colleagues or complain during service, which isn't very professional.
It's a shame, because I was a loyal customer, but the decline in product quality, combined with a sometimes unpleasant welcome, makes me seriously hesitate to return.
05/07/2026: As a customer for several years, I received an extremely poor welcome from a tall, rude young man... What a shame for such a good bakery!
