14/08/2024: We went there via the hotel. Ultra fast service with two young children who were hungry. Grilled meat with too little sauce. Good sauerkraut, however, very disappointed with the cheese plate. Salad not washed well and very small plates. We are still in cheese country and it was blah blah. We should have gone without dessert to avoid ending on a less good note.
Quite expensive price though

Bar Le Terminus

02/09/2024: Bar Le Terminus is a perfect example of the sort of local bar I try to find when we are in France. Clearly not part of the tourist route, it is a smart cafe where you can enjoy crisp pression indoors or out. Service was welcoming and very nice, and the locals were charming.
We didn’t eat here but the simple menu looked good and very reasonable. This is certainly a pub I’d use on future visits to this lovely town.

29/07/2024: I was served by Marco, a pisco sour which was good, on the other hand I ordered a margarita from the lady who was already screaming and I was not disappointed, 30 seconds later I was served, I tasted it was not shaken at all I asked politely if they shake here they replied yes… I have 20 years of bar work behind me I couldn't finish my drink, if I was drunk she could have try to take me for an idiot but there….. it failed.
1 star is not expensive indeed but it is the dishonesty and the unpleasant person who served me that I note

31/08/2024: Evening meal. Slightly long wait and some doubts about the quality of certain foods. OK but a little disappointed. Maybe a bad day, it happens to everyone.

02/08/2024: We were welcomed by Amir who is very cultured and knows his region perfectly. He gives very good advice. We slept well. Be careful there may be noise on the road until late or early in the morning. Thank you ida & amir

It is very well positioned next to the cathedral and close to the city center, welcoming service and pleasant staff.
I highly recommend.

19/07/2024: Very warm welcome, impeccable room (very comfortable bedding) spacious with terrace. Good buffet breakfast. We had reserved a garage box to be sure of having a parking space but there is a parking lot with a few spaces.

02/08/2024: Avec un ami nous avons commandé 2 américain frites,on à eu une demi baguette avec 300g de frites voir plus et un pauvre steak couper en portefeuille pour faire 4 bout(2steak)et pas vraiment de sauce donc assez déçu,après les autres produit sont peux être mieux mais pour 15euro vaut mieux les faire chez soit.

Italian salad with pasta, among other things, but some are fresh and others must be several days old.
Go your way, ladies and gentlemen, there must be a better Italian than this one in Puy-en-Velay

The staff is welcoming, everything always goes very well when I order.
The meals are quite hot, well stocked whether pizza, tacos or kebab.

25/08/2024: We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel, with our dog (who was welcome) the welcome was very friendly,
The spacious and very clean room had a balcony and a large bathroom.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant.
The restaurant's menu is varied, the dishes are well cooked and plentiful for a very reasonable price.
The French breakfasts were very good.
I really recommend this establishment.
