Lots of smiles, generosity, simplicity, things that we tend to lose in catering in our time. 07/09/2024: We had booked for the Velay Auvergne rally, unfortunately two weeks before we were forced to cancel for personal reasons, we unfortunately could not do otherwise.
We spoke to the owner on the phone to explain our problem and apologize for having to cancel our stay with them. In addition to the contemptuous tone and bad faith, he dares to tell us that the fact that the rally takes place near his hotel does not make him happy and he refuses to reimburse us.
I find it really shameful, having canceled our stay 15 days before, and knowing full well that the room would have been rented immediately behind us given the number of people the rally brings to Estables.
I don't usually post negative comments but I think it's deserved.
To flee.

28/08/2024: I don't understand the negative reviews, we ate there today, a porcini mushroom fondue with a plate of charcuterie, as well as a tiramisu dessert with Velay strawberries and blueberry tart, it's a real treat for the taste buds, we had a great time Reserve before coming!!!!
25/08/2024: I admit that I don't understand some of the negative reviews... We were very well received in this restaurant, the fondue was really very good and the desserts too! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Good food but limited quantities on the plate and a little expensive all the same.
23/07/2023: Visited July 22.
While passing through Les Estables, we chose this very pretty looking restaurant on the central square of the village.
The restaurant calls itself a beef restaurant. There are only two dishes offered on the menu for this evening: beef couscous and merguez and Thai-style tataki.
We find the choice limited and quite unusual for a country village like Les Estables. Certainly the restaurant offers an innovative concept by offering to eat all parts of the beef in order to fight against waste.
There is no “classic” meat and we had to take a charcuterie board for €19.50…
A good meat eater doesn't expect those.
A qualitative board certainly but too little filled for the price.
Finally for the commercial side “they arrive to pay” was misplaced, you saw that we only took you one dish without coffee, without dessert. No asking if the service went well, we would have taken the time to explain the distress.
1
