14/04/2026: Look this isn’t your fancy dining restaurant in Paris but it is the local watering hole with great owners. If you’re looking to just hang out, be around locals, and relax a bit. This is the place. I come here for work a lot and this is the place I frequent the most. Steak is good. This was the salmon fish of the day meal. Good price solid food!

Restaurateurs shouldn't complain about not having enough customers. Correction following your reply: It's a double pain au chocolat. Double coffee, not double pain au chocolat! And the pain au chocolat I was served was NOT from Landemaine. I've known this establishment for years and particularly appreciate their pain au chocolat. What shocks me about this whole affair is the general attitude that seems to assume a customer has no right to complain and is wrong on principle. When your employee says, "Well, I'm all alone," while chatting with her colleague (the one who charged me!) and taking the time to prepare a sandwich for someone who arrived long after me... The explanation would undoubtedly be that they were out of pain au chocolat from Landemaine!

18/04/2026: Excellent hole-in-the-wall! Three of us crammed onto a single table, warmed by a toaster on the banks of the Seine... the upkeep and cleanliness of the place left much to be desired... thankfully the evening light somewhat redeemed the disaster. As for the food... the sea bass was overcooked and dry... the ribeye steak was served raw, not rare... only the lemon tart stood out. The service was typical brasserie fare, more than a little cavalier. Just enough to dazzle hipsters craving authenticity.
