02/04/2026: A plunge into the golden age of French brasseries, with period furniture and decor. Franco, who served us, is a delightful person, thoughtful, discreet, and attentive. A place with real soul, real humanity. Simple dishes, revisited with finesse, generous and refined; delicious homemade bread! They even cook your rib-eye steaks over the fireplace (and without any smell!). All at a more than reasonable price! A haven of peace and kindness, all too rare! Go and recharge your batteries!

19/04/2026: I stayed in room 126 from Sunday, April 12th to Tuesday, April 14th. Upon my arrival around 4:00 PM on Sunday, after a 5-hour drive, I checked into the hotel at reception. I was extremely disappointed by the receptionist's lack of professionalism and the receptionist's unprofessionalism. Furthermore, she asked me to pay €66 directly, an amount I disputed as unjustified. Having an appointment at 5:00 PM, I ultimately paid without any receipt. Upon my return around 6:30 PM, I asked her for a more detailed explanation of the €66 charge. She vaguely managed to justify the €39 charge, which included breakfast and two nights' parking that I had requested in addition to the room; a sum of €39 that is entirely justified. However, I don't understand the €5 and €6 supplements for the room, as my booking clearly stated that I would have to pay €0! The tourist tax of 2 x €8 seems excessive. The receptionist informed me that all my comments had been noted and that everything would be settled at check-out. But upon my departure, the receptionist told me he wasn't aware of the issue and couldn't do anything about it; he said he would pass it on to his manager. I wrote to the manager and haven't received a reply. Furthermore, the breakfast was really mediocre, and a simple "hello" from the receptionist would have been nice, but no, it's too complicated, apparently; yet it's the bare minimum of hospitality. "Thank you" (ironically) for the carton of water in the fridge and the heater that stayed permanently set to 24 degrees Celsius even though it was perfectly pleasant outside. For my return trip, I chose a different Best Western where I received a very warm welcome and was awarded 5 stars. Marc P.
