30/05/2026: What a wonderful experience at L’Escarbille! My husband and I came to celebrate my second mother’s birthday, and this day will forever be etched in our memories. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with remarkable kindness and warmth. The owner possesses a rare elegance and warmth, and the entire team is incredibly attentive. You can feel their genuine passion for their craft and their sincere desire to please every customer. The terrace is absolutely fantastic: a pleasant, calm, and convivial setting, perfect for sharing a moment with family. We felt wonderfully at ease there. And what can I say about the food? A true delight! Each dish is a treat, as beautiful to look at as it is delicious to eat. The ingredients are of the highest quality, the flavors perfectly balanced, and the presentation superb. From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. You can taste the expertise, creativity, and attention to detail in every single plate. Thank you to the entire team for helping make this celebration so special. From the warm welcome and impeccable service to the magnificent setting and exceptional cuisine, everything came together to create an unforgettable experience. 24/04/2026: Always top-notch! I do miss eating some of the fish I used to eat when I was little, at other Japanese restaurants. My top 5 fish dishes are tuna, salmon, mackerel, cod, and octopus or cuttlefish on a traditional plate. Their Unagi (Japanese salad) is amazing. Good service in the restaurant or at home. Sometimes the owner even comes to your house in person. :) In short, it creates a real sense of community in the neighborhood. No complaints about the quality. I highly recommend it.

24/05/2026: There is a very high level of consistency in the quality of this establishment, and it is a pleasure to see the kitchen brigade working and the pastry chef's laboratory when going upstairs.

The starters, in particular, are very good: pan-fried mushrooms and roasted Camembert. Starter, main course, and dessert: €24, or main course and dessert or starter and main course: €19.

30/04/2026: I've been ordering exclusively from them for the past two years. The pizzas are truly excellent, and the delivery driver is super friendly. The only slight downside is sometimes the wait, but that's the price of success.

12/04/2026: Maison Rouge, a must-visit restaurant in Meudon! The chef is incredibly talented, generous, and creative. The service is equally excellent; you feel right at home, the food is delicious, and you'll definitely want to return! And be warned: the desserts are superb! 😋

02/04/2026: A plunge into the golden age of French brasseries, with period furniture and decor. Franco, who served us, is a delightful person, thoughtful, discreet, and attentive. A place with real soul, real humanity. Simple dishes, revisited with finesse, generous and refined; delicious homemade bread! They even cook your rib-eye steaks over the fireplace (and without any smell!). All at a more than reasonable price! A haven of peace and kindness, all too rare! Go and recharge your batteries!

14/05/2026: A very pleasant evening at the Hôtel Restaurant L'Ermitage in Meudon. The dishes were excellent, beautifully presented, and the service was very enjoyable. The setting was warm and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing time.

19/04/2026: I stayed in room 126 from Sunday, April 12th to Tuesday, April 14th. Upon my arrival around 4:00 PM on Sunday, after a 5-hour drive, I checked into the hotel at reception. I was extremely disappointed by the receptionist's lack of professionalism and the receptionist's unprofessionalism. Furthermore, she asked me to pay €66 directly, an amount I disputed as unjustified. Having an appointment at 5:00 PM, I ultimately paid without any receipt. Upon my return around 6:30 PM, I asked her for a more detailed explanation of the €66 charge. She vaguely managed to justify the €39 charge, which included breakfast and two nights' parking that I had requested in addition to the room; a sum of €39 that is entirely justified. However, I don't understand the €5 and €6 supplements for the room, as my booking clearly stated that I would have to pay €0! The tourist tax of 2 x €8 seems excessive. The receptionist informed me that all my comments had been noted and that everything would be settled at check-out. But upon my departure, the receptionist told me he wasn't aware of the issue and couldn't do anything about it; he said he would pass it on to his manager. I wrote to the manager and haven't received a reply. Furthermore, the breakfast was really mediocre, and a simple "hello" from the receptionist would have been nice, but no, it's too complicated, apparently; yet it's the bare minimum of hospitality. "Thank you" (ironically) for the carton of water in the fridge and the heater that stayed permanently set to 24 degrees Celsius even though it was perfectly pleasant outside. For my return trip, I chose a different Best Western where I received a very warm welcome and was awarded 5 stars. Marc P.
