The tomato tart was delightful as was the butternut squash soup and the artichokes. Everyone enjoyed their main plates as well. 26/01/2026: Everything is very controlled. Too controlled. The Italian wine list is gradually dwindling, like losing one's hair. Over the years, I've gone from enthusiasm to (overpriced) boredom. It's as if the orchid has lost its bloom. This rigidity is neither Italian nor does it correspond to my idea of ​​Japan. At this point, I wouldn't invite my friends to this cold room anymore, whereas I was so proud to do so a few years ago, when the sun still lit the interior. The talent is still there, without a doubt, but it's self-censoring and withering away. The sadness of this charmless street is contaminating the place. This is the perspective of a longtime friend who wishes the orchid would bloom again.
