29/08/2024: Tasty cuisine with exotic accents. The welcome is impeccable. The setting is intimate, far from the rowdy atmosphere of the center of Hossegor. A bubble of oxygen.. we will come back!

16/09/2024: What a disappointment!!!! A shame! Although the waitress was pleasant, she seated us without giving us the cards which we ended up taking ourselves... when we placed an order, we also asked her for an ashtray, she gave us the one from the next table which is full (even though it has a trash can 1 m away)! After 15 minutes of waiting, we finally received our aperitifs, and barely 2 minutes later we already saw the dishes arriving! We tell her that we would like to drink our aperitif quietly before eating, she then returns the dishes, telling us that she is leaving them "under the lamp" but that it will probably be lukewarm and worse the fries were cold and the burger lukewarm, I comment kindly, the waitress says “sorry”
Really bad! In addition, the cooks and the bosses are really not friendly! I honestly regret having given my money to this kind of pseudo restaurateur!
One more little piece of advice, don’t go there! At the bottom, you have the Coyote which is much nicer...
06/09/2024: A great time, unexpected this late afternoon sun, cozy atmosphere, friendly and smiling welcome, the team in the kitchen and in a good mood and it's a pleasure, dish at the top, the chicken a killer, the fries a treat, and this sweet note of a just perfect cheesecake!
I recommend you stop there 😉

Les moules et les frites très bien par contre la salade cesar que de la salade avec 3 tout petits morceaux de poulet et 4 copeaux de parmesan...j'ai demandé du pain bon il y en avait plus. On m'a amené des tartines très dur. J'avoue être très decue

14/09/2024: Just got back to my van and opened the pizza box to find a delicious looking margarita covered with fresh cheese and basil! Cool pizza shack with a quick service (enough time to watch the sunset before picking up my pizza). Happy days - Merci Pizz’Houle!

27/10/2023: For several years I have been going there at least once a season, I preferred the former owners commercially speaking., on the kitchen side, already the service is mega long, the time to settle down and take the order on average 30 minutes... So it's really passable, when we finally deign to take care of ourselves, the service remains long, on average 15 minutes to get drinks, so basically 45 minutes to wait for nothing... The mussels are good (fortunately ), we were never sick, but poorly prepared, since the mussels do not cook in the sauce, a serious mistake in our opinion... Fortunately it remains affordable.
But every year it doesn't get better in fact, it's always a "friends first" atmosphere at Penon... And I've been spending my holidays there for over 35 years, I grew up at the penon... And I still can't stand these "anti-tourist house is happy that they fill our pockets" atmosphere

After having tried with family, a granita: which only had the color of the supposed taste, an ice cream with the taste of water but not at the price of water and a correct Crêpe, I wanted to try the waffle which had the taste of a waffle microwaved... in short, not a great experience, you will understand... but in the area there is not much competition....
So my children wanted to have a donut... as the young waitress was rather nice (compared to the others), I took the liberty of pointing out to her that her waffles were very dry. So I learned that they were frozen, because they have a shortage of staff... when I told him that his waffle was still more expensive than his Crêpe, he didn't care. She told me to go elsewhere if her service didn't suit her and she justifies the high price by the fact that she has to get up in the morning anyway. Ok well I will go elsewhere and I advise everyone to do the same given the consideration for customers that this establishment offers.

25/07/2024: We've been going to this super nice little restaurant for seven years and there last night we wanted to go eat with friends unfortunately it was closed no cause noted we don't know why it's very sad it was a great establishment
