08/07/2026: I've eaten at this restaurant three times while traveling for work. The dishes are beautifully presented, delicious, and fresh—kudos to the chef! It makes you want to eat there and come back. The prices are very reasonable. Thank you.

01/07/2026: Passing through Saint-Étienne, we discovered this restaurant where we were delighted by the warm welcome and friendliness of the owner. As for the chef, our taste buds and eyes were in heaven; the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. Excellent value for money! If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate to visit this charming little restaurant; you won't be disappointed. They use only fresh, seasonal ingredients. There were two of us, and we ordered an aperitif, the set menu (starter, main course, dessert), and coffee.

31/08/2026: Well, no. The trio platter: the hanger steak was tough even though it was cooked rare, the rump steak was slightly better, but only slightly better, and there was a tablespoon of fatty vegetables, peppers, and eggplant with very tough skin. The same went for the tartare, which included a quartered button mushroom that was trying to soak up the oil from preserving the "vegetables." The tartare was indeed hand-cut, but already somewhat seasoned with a homemade sauce (?) and not a single condiment. Apart from a sprig of parsley lost in the middle of the meat. The parsley must have been curly, but it wasn't exactly fresh. Putting the meat, which has been exposed to air and is therefore a bit dry and a different color, at the bottom of the tartare doesn't hide it when you eat it. As for the fries: greasy, soggy, in short, uninteresting. Sunday lunch, nothing special for Sunday lunch prices... Average quality of the meat, noted without any particular reaction. No more Java for us.

08/08/2026: The staff were excellent, but I was disappointed by the food. The menu descriptions were enticing but not present; for example, the "confit tomato" was missing... a shame.

21/08/2026: I found this restaurant through an app that calculates the calories in photos of my meals. This naan was delicious and fit well within my calorie limit. The bread is packed with fresh herbs. The service is quick and efficient.

07/09/2026: A wonderful restaurant, a cozy little haven in the heart of Saint-Étienne. The owner, who is also the chef, is very friendly and talented. We had a truly excellent meal, with flavorful dishes. We highly recommend the quenelle, the restaurant's signature dish. You won't be disappointed!

11/08/2026: We received a warm welcome. The only downside was the cooking of my hamburger. Being pregnant, I asked for the patty in my burger to be well-done, but unfortunately, it arrived pink/bloody in the center. I asked for it to be cooked again, and when the second burger arrived, the patty was overcooked, almost burnt. It's a shame they don't know how to properly cook a hamburger... Otherwise, the rest of the meal and the service were very good!

08/08/2026: On Friday evening, August 7th, we went to the restaurant L'Escargot d'Or. My son ordered a beef fillet Rossini, but it wasn't beef fillet at all. I've been a butcher for 40 years and I know how to recognize meat, so it was a case of misrepresentation. When I told him it wasn't beef fillet, the waiter said he'd check, but he never came back to me. It's a good thing we're with family; otherwise, I would have made a scene.

22/08/2026: Excellent, nothing to complain about (except perhaps the menu being AI-generated...). It's very good, the setting is nice, the waitress was lovely, the service was quick, I will definitely be back.
