31/03/2024: Unfortunately a very rude service. When I asked the waitress to get the water hot enought to make a good tea (from a bag) she said that I can put my finger to the pot to check that that water was hot enough 😂😂😂 They use the water from the coffee maker. Warm and not hot enought. I wouldn’t bother to write this review but I found it so ridiculously stupid and rude.

20/03/2024: The estate looks majestic. We didn't have time to visit everything. We had a bill problem getting the key back. We had to pay more than expected, otherwise we were out with our two month old…. In the morning, we were poorly received by the hostess….. We are waiting for news from management…..

03/03/2024: I wanted to give this place 5 stars, but there were a couple of big items that let it down. Firstly the good points: The hotel is an old beautiful building, as such the rooms are interesting and it is a joy to stay in. The checkin was very clever as we were given a code which we entered into a machine and it spat out our key, but this did mean we didn’t get to meet anyone, which was a little disconcerting. Now the things we didn’t like: The breakfast was lacking, the pastries were dry and there wasn’t an awful lot of choice, considering we had been to many other hotels for less and they had provided more I thought this was a bit of a shame. Also workers who were working on our floor started work at around 8am for a hotel I think this is a big no no, as guests like to relax and get up in their own time and work shouldn’t start until at least 9 or 10. I left both of these points in the suggestion box so they could hopefully action them. Other than this the location is pretty cool, and the place is steeped in history.
