18/04/2026: Served with a 50-minute wait between the starter and the main course. One of the dishes arrived cold, as did the fries, but they only offered to reheat the fries... The result was inedible fries and cold calamari fritters. Half the bill went uneaten, and without any apology... This will be my last time at Léon's.

The dishes are beautiful and delicious.
The leg of lamb in sauce was wonderful. It's flavorful and aromatic cuisine, without being overly sophisticated; there's something for everyone.
The dining room is spacious and quiet.
I highly recommend it.
17/04/2026: I was a little disappointed by this "gastronomic" restaurant, which offered me out-of-season vegetables as a vegetarian option. I would have liked to be able to choose my dish or at least have a vegetarian option on the menu, rather than a "surprise." Furthermore, it's possible to create more elaborate and nutritious vegetarian dishes than simple salads.

10/04/2026: The menus weren't great. The Caesar salad was tasteless with very little dressing. The burgers were dry with hardly any sauce. Disappointing.
08/04/2026: Disappointed. While the ingredients were fresh, they weren't prepared with enough care. Lacking originality. My fish was overcooked and almost hot. It was too expensive at €40. Too basic, not enough effort. For dessert, the homemade tarte tatin was very good, but nothing original.

23/04/2026: A very warm welcome, an exceptional location on the banks of the Loiret, and a set menu for €36 that was truly excellent. Nothing but positive things to say. The scallop carpaccio with citrus sauce and grilled sweetbreads were divine! Bravo Chef!
17/04/2026: We had a lovely evening; everything was perfect. The setting was beautiful, right on the banks of the Loiret, and the food was delicious. We even finished our dinner with a magnificent cheese platter.
I highly recommend it!

21/03/2026: A forgotten latte, and a lesson in disdain thrown in for good measure.
We come regularly from the south of France, and Patapain is a place we genuinely appreciate in Orléans. We always enjoy stopping by—until this morning.
The coffee machine was broken at 8:15 a.m. Fine, these things happen. Once it was fixed, my latte was ready, but no one brought it to me. I got up to fetch it myself and calmly mentioned that it was a shame—my family had finished breakfast a while ago.
A young employee's response: "Well, if we could have done it differently, we would have, right?"
I replied that it was still annoying. He said: "Yeah, too bad."
Back at my table, I expressed my confusion to my family. He then added, from across the room: "Oh, come on, move on."
That's when the problem ceased to be an oversight and became a serious mistake.
I asked to speak to the manager. She responded promptly, apologized, and offered to give us some cream puffs. I politely declined. I didn't want a goodwill gesture. I wanted an apology from that employee. It never came.
So yes, as he so aptly put it: what a shame. What a shame that a single employee, incapable of the slightest courtesy, is enough to tarnish the reputation of a business that deserves better than this.
