05/09/2026: An elderly, extremely rude and unpleasant waitress with dark skin and a slender build completely ruined our experience and our trip. To preserve your travel experience, if you are a foreigner, I recommend avoiding her. I wonder what problems she could possibly have in her life to behave this way. She doesn't hesitate to harass customers, especially those who speak a foreign language, with a mocking tone and a contemptuous attitude. She simply doesn't seem like the right person to work with the public.

04/09/2026: It's simple: we ordered four dishes and left all four—they were inedible. The bouillabaisse was a small mess with fish mud at the bottom, the gravlax was just raw, uncooked salmon, and so on. All this after a 1.5-hour wait for a reservation that was forced upon us at 7:00 PM ("7:15 PM max," we were rather unpleasantly informed on the phone). In short, avoid this place.

07/09/2026: Average restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, but the presentation, portion sizes, and value for money are really poor. €25 for pasta with oil and a few small squid. We call that a rip-off. If you haven't found anything wrong with it, go for it; otherwise, keep walking. In short, avoid restaurants in Cassis in general…

11/09/2026: We received a wonderful welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the squid and octopus, which were both perfectly cooked. The panisses were also delicious. With our coffee, they served us navettes and meringues – a thoughtful touch rarely found.

02/09/2026: The best burger I've ever eaten, as well as the best dessert and appetizer. Super nice owners!

31/08/2026: I was very surprised by the mixed, even negative, reviews. We arrived in Cassis with a bit of a late-night craving: one of us wanted something completely sweet, the other a mix of savory and sweet. Huit et Demi did the trick perfectly: sweet and savory crepes with ice cream were just what we needed. Okay, some restaurants could certainly improve the presentation of their savory crepes. But we dealt with three different people (from ordering to payment at the register), three incredibly friendly and welcoming young men, even though we were just tourists passing through. And I observed the same kindness and simplicity with a couple after us who were hesitating between takeout and dining in. And yes, the bill was also reasonable compared to the restaurant next door where a Greek salad cost 25 euros. In short, a great place for a snack or lunch break at any time, with no unpleasant surprises and a warm welcome. Thank you to them.

29/08/2026: A lovely time at 8 et demi. Beautiful terrace with a direct view of the port of Cassis, a pleasant and sunny setting at the end of the day. The burrata was fresh and generous, and the warm goat cheese toast salad was nicely presented. However, the pizza was rather disappointing, and the fries were clearly from a store; homemade fries would have been a real plus. Friendly service, ideal setting for dining overlooking the boats.

29/08/2026: Overall, a mixed experience. The setting is pleasant and the welcome was adequate, but unfortunately, the food doesn't live up to the prices. The dish was sorely lacking in flavor and freshness, which is a shame. This establishment has potential, but it deserves more attention to detail and consistency in the kitchen. With a little more care taken with the presentation, the experience could be much better. One star, but I could have given it zero.

15/09/2026: A small get-together with friends, we decided to stop at this bar for a drink and a bite to eat. I ordered a focaccia that was half-frozen and looked nothing like a real focaccia. The cocktails were served in glasses no bigger than 10cl with loads of ice. My friends ordered a charcuterie and cheese board to share for €28. Needless to say, it was terrible value for money. A few pieces of charcuterie here and there and three bits of cheese. All this to say that I absolutely do not recommend this place.
