07/12/2024: Small family tratoria style room, excellent gluten-free and vegetarian pizza, and gluten-free brownies for dessert, a gourmet treat that I generally have to do without outside the house.
Plus organic and local products, what more could you ask for, we'll come back.
18/11/2024: Very good artisanal pizzas and different surprising pasta recipes. We loved it!!

04/09/2024: amazing ! Unacceptable! Horrible ! Lousy! A “Master Restaurateur” written on his door but it must be removed, he is never in his establishment. No respect for its customers. There is no word in the French language to define this meal. The only positive point is that we laughed so much because this meal was VIDEO GAG worthy!
This is the second time in 6 months that we have come to eat and the chef is not there! This is very easily noticed because when we ask for advice on wine, the young waitress, who has little to do with it, knows nothing about this subject. And when the chef is present, he arrives quickly because wine is his passion. I would still like to point out to you that it is the first day of the week for the opening of his restaurant. We order a Chablis which is not at all what we asked for but we realize it when everyone is served! Too late but it's only the beginning. Then it’s a disaster! already in the starters there are only fish-based starters because on the first opening day of the week the only starter without fish is missing. And there are 9 of us in the restaurant! one person at the table does not like fish and therefore no other starter options. The starters arrive, we ask for bread and then the waitress tells us that there is no bread this evening because they didn't have time to buy bread! Incredible because there is no shortage of bakeries in Bellegarde. So she gives us croutons for the meal. Then the dishes arrive, not very generous and they are lukewarm, almost cold! The only positive point is that the meat is good but cold. Then the waitress arrives to clear the plates and tells us that there are no more of the 3 desserts on the menu. We even thought she was joking but no! Even the cheese was crossed off the menu! she offers us a sorbet instead of the 3 desserts on the menu. Of course, we didn't take anything and we remained polite because unfortunately this young waitress had nothing to do with it, left to her own devices. She then brought us 3 coffees, we could see the bottom of the cup because the coffee was so clear.
It's over, we will no longer return to this establishment as long as Mr. Jean-Jacques COCLET is the ghost restaurateur. And if you want to answer me, there's no need to say that people haven't come to eat in your restaurant as you do in the majority of your responses to customer comments. Because we came there and your waitress will be able to confirm it for you. So Mr. Chef, if you love your customers, I am not asking for any compensation but at least have the respect to apologize without “hitting the mark” as you so often do.
16/08/2024: A green salad with 2 cherry tomatoes and a buratta, a few shavings of parmesan. 18€.
I leave hungry.
The setting is nice nonetheless.

09/09/2024: Formule à petit prix donc des le départ, on ne s’attend pas à de la gastronomie. on accepte la salade industrielle mal lavée, les frites surgelées et la ratatouille en conserve.
Par contre, oser nous demander la cuisson pour la pièce du boucher et voir arriver un malheureux bout de viande de 2mm d’épaisseur, c’est se moquer du client.
Nous n’avons pas lu les commentaires avant de nous attabler. Nous aurions clairement dû.
Pour le même prix il y a moyen de trouver largement mieux.

23/09/2024: Restaurant pas terrible je dirai plutôt attraper touristes. Hamburger ou le steak haché fait à peine 20 gr . La serveuse pressé de prendre la commande sans le sourire. Je déconseille vraiment ce Restaurant.
18/09/2024: Très bonne cuisine locale et service sympa. Les tapas en entrée accompagnées de sangria et la seiche à la planche sont tops !

09/12/2024: I am enthusiastic about the wines. We were here for the first time. I was able to taste all the wines I wanted and I was amazed by the quality and also the price. If I'm in the area again I'll stop by again. I come from Germany and was already thinking about coming here because I'm so excited about the wine.
14/09/2024: What a pleasant surprise, extremely warm welcome, advice, tasting, visit, discovery of local products. We were delighted to discover this estate and bring back a few boxes of wines in our region where our guests have already placed a few orders for the excellent quality of the wine.

nous avons été attendu avec le sourire malgré notre arrivée tardive 22h30 pour un jour en semaine très bonnes paella nous sommes revenus le lendemain toujours avec le même sourire et des produits son de qualité je conseille vivement

20/09/2024: Un vrais paradis cette adresse, que dis-je, ce lieu naturel, très privilégié !
Deux jeunes gens passionnés qui font de la super et superbe cuisine avec les produits de leurs récoltes et ceux de bons producteurs du coin.
C’est très joli dans l’assiette, c’est savoureux… de la grande régalade !
Ils vont cueillir certaines herbes et épices sous vos yeux afin de les incorporer à ce qu’ils vous servent.
Ils savent vous ouvrir l’appétit rien qu’en vous narrant le menu : « imposé » si je puis dire, car toujours inventif et généreux.
S’il le faut, ils s’adaptent aux habitudes et impératifs alimentaires.
Dans ce cas, les prévenir à l’avance est la moindre des choses.
Au regard de ce que je viens de décrire, les prix pratiqués paraissent bien minces.
Ils ont tout de même une carte pour les vins et les conserves en pot de verre qu’ils confectionnent avec amour.
Ils font de l’art ces deux jeunes gens !!
20/09/2024: Dans le cadre d’une visite en famille , en pleine saison estivale nous avons débuté par une soupe de melons aux herbes du jardin. Au menu de l’agneau local et les légumes de saison cultivés bio au mas. Le dessert était un biscuit sur un délicieux coulis de figues.
À recommander absolument.

03/12/2024: I've looked at this little restaurant a few times and thought that I should give it a try. The weather allowed us to sit outside; the seating inside was limited. The table and chairs were basic and uncomfortable for a long, lingering lunch. The service was friendly and the meal arrived promptly.
I say it arrived promptly but .... we ordered a Tagine/Tajine and a Pastilla but we were told that the Pastilla would take 1 hour to cook. So we ordered one Tagine and thought that if it was OK we would order another.
The Tagine did arrive, it was fresh, hot but lacked the depth of flavour you would expect. We ordered the lamb and the amount of meat was reasonable. Overall the dish was acceptable without being outstanding. A stew rather than a tagine. Something that didn't have any of the flavours that many people would put into their tagines. Typically ras-el-hanout or a house blend of cayenne pepper, paprika, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon etc.
Needless to say, we decided not to order another dish. the glass of wine was larger than other places in town but the red was cold, very cold.
When we went to pay, we were charged 2€ extra for eating on the premises. This was despite the fact that the menu gave 1 price for "sur le place" and another for taking away. So yes, they charged the eating price plus 2€.
If you would like a tagine in Uzès, do not try here. Maybe wait until Le Provencal put one on their plat du jour
