01/02/2026: The welcome was perfect and warm. The meal was excellent, whether it was the couscous or the tagine; the meat was extremely tender. The brik pastries were excellent. The desserts were also superb.

31/01/2026: The restaurant has a very nice decor and high-quality food, but there are far too many tables crammed together, giving it a canteen-like feel and somewhat detracting from the experience.

14/03/2026: Excellent restaurant! I'm not familiar with Lebanese cuisine, but the food was very good. The servers were pleasant and even quite funny. There's a lovely, family-friendly atmosphere, and the dishes are refreshing, especially in the summer, I imagine. I highly recommend it! 👍

23/03/2026: All the staff are fantastic! Mr. Mahamadou, Olivier, Pascal, Fred, Marwane, Alexandre, Nordine, and Ms. Margaux, Alix, Fatima, and Viorica were very helpful. The staff were always warm and understanding. This was my second stay at this hotel, and the staff was wonderful. First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Arnaud, Mahamadou, Mizan, Pascal, Fred, Richard, Alex, Nordine, and especially Ms. Léane, Paloma, Angela, Viorica, Fatima, and Alix. The entire team was incredibly kind and very charming. The hotel was magnificent, and I highly recommend dining at L'Alcove. I hope the hotel manager keeps this team. I would be very happy to see them again on my next visit. This is the best hotel in Versailles. Greetings to the entire team!

27/02/2026: This is one of our favorite places to enjoy couscous, however today we found the merguez sausages and lamb less flavorful. Furthermore, the owner's service deprived us of the usual cheerful atmosphere of the waiters.

24/02/2026: It was Valentine's Day. On the phone, when we made the reservation, we were told it would be €42 per person. Upon arrival, the welcome was anything but friendly. We had requested a table near the bay windows, but we were seated in the middle. There was no special decoration, and nothing was mentioned in the menu. We assumed it had been a joke on the phone and that this was just how things usually are. So we each ordered a couscous, a basic one, not the royal kind. The restaurant was busy, and the waiters were very busy. We ordered an aperitif, including sparkling water and a kir, and finished with a dessert for two. The couscous was good, but the dessert, which was supposed to include praline, had no praline. The bill came to €94. It's highway robbery, plain and simple. There were no signs, no explanations, no decorations, nothing more, yet the price had gone up, and to top it all off, the manager was borderline unpleasant; you felt like you were bothering him. Only one young waiter was smiling. We won't be back; we were too disappointed.

11/03/2026: Fantastic Tunisian restaurant, the food was amazing. I recommend the Couscous Royal for meat lovers. The service is first class and very friendly and the place is quite and nice. Easy parking nearby

05/03/2026: A wonderful discovery during Ramadan. The welcome was truly warm, and we immediately felt at ease. We ate tagines, and everything was excellent: the meat was fresh, the dishes were homemade, and you could taste the difference. Generous and authentic cuisine. A very good experience; I highly recommend it.

28/01/2026: Magnificent restaurant! The decor is simply sublime and meticulously planned down to the smallest detail. The staff is lovely and very helpful with any questions. I had the merguez couscous, and it was one of the best I've ever had, truly the best in a restaurant, hands down! The portions are very generous and the ingredients are delicious. I highly recommend it. I'll be back, thank you again for this wonderful meal!

03/01/2026: We used to go there about twenty years ago, and upon returning to the area, we were delighted to see it was still open! A very warm welcome, the decor is as magical and spotless as ever, a wide selection on the menu, and excellent, very generous portions! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The "rose des sables" dessert with date syrup... a real treat! We'll be back!
