11/08/2024: Très bon restaurant en temps normal. J y mange une fois par mois. Mois d août midi déçu. Le serveur pas souriant ne nous demande pas si c est ça s est bien passé alors que habituellement les serveurs sont très souriant et aimable. Le repas pas terrible Les frites sèches et pas cuites . L andouillette pas cuite et moyenne. Changement de cuisiniers au mois d août certainement. Je ne viendrais plus le midi. Mais je continuerai à venir le soir. La cuisine est meilleur.
22/07/2024: Typical french brasserie, amazing selection of beer, wines are also OK. The menu offers all the to-eats of the french bistro kitchen, moules aux frites, soup a l'onion, tartare, escargots, creme brulee, fromage etc. etc.
The only thing "missing" is the tipical grumpy waiter you would expect in paris, the ones at the Trappiste are fast, helpful, attentive and friendly.

31/05/2024: Great food and service with the exception of the original woman who seated us who was not happy when we requested to move to a different table—she gave us table in a corner with a direct (and loud) view of the kitchen when there were plenty of other tables available. We politely requested a move to another table and were kindly and graciously accommodated by another woman. However, we overheard the original woman who seated us complain about it to her colleagues throughout our ENTIRE meal as if we personally offended her. Just ridiculous. Would have given 5 stars otherwise.
19/05/2024: Very popular wine bar. Extremely Noisy and crowded, everyone deeply engaged in wine n conversations. Dining area was inside. Menu was well priced. Service good. It was a most interesting experience!

27/09/2024: A pleasant surprise. A self-service restaurant with the possibility of having a view of the Parisian rooftops is quite rare. The dishes are simple but well made, some of the accompaniments are made from fresh produce. You can have lunch for a very reasonable price. The only downside is the ambient noise which can be too much depending on the number of visitors. The coffee is overpriced, but otherwise the value for money is unbeatable considering the location.

Thanks to Camille and her advice I was able to explore their collection of perfumes and therefore making my choice was much less difficult in the end.
