15/03/2026: To begin, I'm giving it one star because, unfortunately, we can't give zero.
I strongly advise against going to Le Vieux Beffroi in Béthune. The experience was absolutely scandalous.
A woman I suspect is the manager was extremely unpleasant and aggressive, openly accusing us of not ordering anything and simply using the restroom. This is completely false: we spent over €40 on the premises.
The worst part was her attitude. When my partner simply approached to ask for information, she dismissed him dismissively, as if we were bothering her. No politeness, no respect for customers.
It's unacceptable to be treated this way when you pay and remain polite. A minimum of professionalism should be the foundation of any business.
Appalling welcome, aggressive attitude, and unjustified accusations.
If you're looking for a place where you'll be well received, look elsewhere.

15/03/2026: Very disappointing service.
We wanted to sit down and have a drink. Once seated, I simply asked the woman at the bar if it would be possible to heat my baby's bottle. Her response was very curt: "No, I don't have time, it's not the right time to heat a bottle."
Seeing the situation, a colleague came over to ask us what we needed. We asked him the same question, and he replied that they only had ovens and no microwaves here!
The refusal itself is understandable, but the way they spoke to customers is truly regrettable. A little courtesy wouldn't hurt.
14/03/2026: Hello, first of all, the welcome was excellent. I was very well received. The food is very good, the desserts are seasonal, and when raspberries are in season, there's a very good raspberry charlotte. The after-dinner drinks are very good. Highly recommended.

20/11/2025: The shop has been nice since the renovations. The pizzas are good (my favorite is the croque monsieur). Kevin and Cyr are friendly and always provide good service.
10/11/2025: I came here for lunch today to eat a pizza, and I'm really disappointed. The restaurant seems half-abandoned, the hygiene is appalling: an extension cord was lying in the middle of the counter, the toilets were filthy, and there wasn't even any water to wash your hands. On top of that, the pizza was overcooked and frankly inedible for €17. I strongly advise against going to this place.

30/06/2024: Very good restaurant with a somewhat surprising decor combining modern and vintage. The dishes served are well presented and of high quality. The only downside is not enough choice: a starter and a dessert.... but apparently the menu changes regularly.

22/10/2024: First time for me this Monday, business meal and everything was very good. Ultra-fast service, simple but quality cuisine, a hearty and tasty dish and a perfectly reasonable price. To top it off I allowed myself to forget my pouch... tested and approved they are honest. THANKS. I'll come back, I promise.

25/02/2024: We had room 8. We really appreciated the service. But because we also had a private evening at La Brèche and we closed it. Ideal location for us. We enjoyed the sauna, the shower and the room space.
The insulation is not ideal, but we are used to traveling with earplugs.
