Updated in 2025... I revisited the restaurant after several years and it remains a very good option for eating in Paris. Good food at a good price and excellent service.

18/02/2026: It's still the best Portuguese pasteis de Nata, the best address in France and other Portuguese specialties. On the other hand, a coffee for 1 euro and 70 cents is expensive and always a big difficulty to park but hey it's not the fault of the manager but those who want to go there by car it's very complicated to park.
07/02/2026: The (little custard tarts 😅) are truly excellent: the filling is very soft and the pastry is crispy and incredibly light. 😋 At €2.50 they're not cheap, but they're really, really good 👍🏻

21/01/2026: My friend walked past here and said we HAD to get one. So we did, and I can’t lie, I don’t even know what I ate. Some sort of warm custard pie, and it was incredible. You won’t regret getting this mystery tart!

10/02/2026: I've been coming to this restaurant for several years now, on numerous occasions, and it truly lives up to the reputation of Portuguese cuisine.
If you're looking for a generous and delicious meal, you've come to the right place! Whether it's the ribeye steak, the cod lagareiro style, or any of the other dishes, it's a 5-star experience in my book, and entirely deserved!

19/01/2026: We found this place on Google. We ordered 2 of their specials; chicken and cod. Both were horrible. The chicken comes with fries which is the only good part pf their dish.
Also, inside lacks proper ventilation caused the air very stuffy and unbearable.
18/01/2026: After many disappointing dinners, finding this was gold. We were finally able to have a real and fulfilling meal in Paris.
Chicken with garlic sauce and the vegetable platter were very tasty! We were licking up the oil.

02/02/2026: Simple but good, especially generous portions for big eaters, comforting food in a family atmosphere, well done!
03/01/2026: Despite being reasonably priced, it was the most delicious steak I had in Paris. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
The beer, steak, and after-meal coffee left me completely satisfied.
I was impressed. I'll come again!
The kids and dog were also relaxed.

06/08/2024: Nous avons bien mangé dans ce restaurant très authentique portugais, étonnant de trouver ce genre de restaurant au plein centre touristique de Paris. Nous reviendrons pour la soirée fado!
28/07/2024: Agréable soirée dans un restaurant portugais typique entre la rue de Rivolî et Les Halles dans une rue étroite à proximité d’un centre Emmaús. Accueil convivial sympathique. Joli décor avec des azulejos muraux qui vous mettent dans l’ambiance. Impossible de prendre un apéritif correct avec des amuse gueule traditionnels. Juste des morceaux de pain rassis (huilés). Le serveur qui semble brésilien parle mal le français. Temps d’attente pour les plats extrêmement long, mais on vous prévient. Grand choix mais la morue est à l’honneur comme il se doit et les plats divers servis avec ce poisson sont énormes et démesurés et complètement recouverts de pommes de terre. Cela correspond presque à un repas de 2 jours. Inutile de prendre une entrée. De toute façon on cale. Pas spécialement goûteux. Excellent vin au verre. Jolies tables bien placées. Prix un peu élevés mais restent corrects. A faire pour tester mais sans plus.
