22/03/2024: It's Friday evening, restaurant almost empty, no beer, no paper to wipe up, a menu with an extra goat's cheese wrap which arrives without goat's cheese but with chicken. I, who was waiting for my little beer of the weekend, will settle for the glass of water served with the menu. Good luck.

Thank you for the frankness of the waiter, a little squid to share, frozen food for €19, a Coca-Cola in a can on the terrace, €3.50

Small frozen cod steak (I thought it was the tail) cooked at the same time as the flank steak.
I can't tell you the taste of the meat.
Well, all that for three starters and three main courses with 5 drinks.
Total €123 (780 francs)
I think that at this price we can get a good little brother Ibarbour at the time see a small Hotel du Palais go your way for me.

30/03/2024: We had a couple of savory crepes for dinner and a portion of potatoes and it was really great. Very delicious food and very nice staff, with a good atmosphere (it was full).
25/02/2024: A smiling and very pleasant welcome, just like the rest of the service.
The dishes and desserts, copiously good, kept me entertained, despite my status as a “big eater”. The quality/price ratio adds an element to the fact that we will come back with great pleasure...😊

03/11/2023: Bad news, very bad news. The Battela closes its doors in its current form at the end of November. I invite all Hendayais and beyond to come and enjoy one last time. The sweetbreads returned to the menu like a final fireworks display...I tenderly thank Sébastien and Elo for their always joyful and emphatic welcome. I also thank the previous generation who were also so attentive despite the terrible and unfair hazards of life. In any case, good luck and all the best for the future. That said, I'm going to use November to share moments that are both delicious and so friendly.

To eat it's not expensive it's friendly
The first saleswoman was lost, she was doing too many things at the same time, she forgot some products for us. We asked her again and she saw that she had forgotten and she apologized. She did the same for other customers, she made a mistake when ordering pizzas, she was apologetic, these are things that happen sometimes.
They remain professional and commercial
