17/02/2026: We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Auberge Les Fontanettes. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of charm — the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable meal.
The food was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with great care and quality ingredients. You can really taste the passion behind the cooking.
What truly stood out was the owner. Despite the restaurant being very busy, she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating. She made sure we were completely looked after and had everything we needed, which made the whole experience feel personal and special.
Outstanding food, wonderful atmosphere, and genuine hospitality. Thank you for such a lovely evening — we’ll definitely be back.

I went to Les Barmettes during my ski week, and it's always a great pleasure to come back for afternoon tea.
Despite the crowds, the staff remains smiling, friendly, and welcoming.
The desserts are comforting and delicious,
the portions are generous and worth the price.
The location is perfect for relaxing and recharging before heading out again!

Generous portions at reasonable prices (between €20 and €30). Wide selection of dishes.
Very welcoming atmosphere.

23/02/2026: Don't miss this restaurant in Pralognan! A must-try!! The owner is fantastic; the establishment was recently bought but is doing a great job. The young, bearded waiter is incredibly friendly.

21/01/2026: Stunning location, easily and safely accessible even in January - but call beforehand. Spotless clean. Friendly staff. Cosy. We had traditional very simple food, and it was unusual refined in it's simplicity - class act. The place oozes of culture and history.
05/01/2026: A fantastic stay at this mountain refuge over New Year's Eve. The team was incredibly welcoming, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was delicious. The Nordic bath was amazing with breathtaking views. A truly rejuvenating stay, thank you!

01/03/2026: We tried the raclette at Brézain, which was very good with high-quality charcuterie. We went back for a fondue, which we also enjoyed. The service was also pleasant and helpful, especially regarding portion sizes for children.

I've been coming to Pralognan since I was little, and I always stop at this restaurant.
It had been two years since my last visit, and I could tell the change of ownership as soon as I walked in.
Food-wise: the starters and main courses were decent, tasty and generous!
Atmosphere-wise: this is the BIG negative point.
The manager's welcome is appalling, except when it comes to paying. She makes inappropriate remarks and doesn't speak in a humorous or warm tone, but rather in a curt and aggressive one.
Two of the waitresses were warm and smiling, which is why I'm giving it two stars for the atmosphere.
In conclusion, the food is good and plentiful, but the atmosphere is just off-putting and ruins the whole experience.

06/02/2026: We ordered four pizzas for 8:30 pm, during the off-season. The pizzas were ready at 9 pm. One calzone was very sparsely topped. The other pizzas were unappetizing. Enough to make you sick. Nothing beats the Ripaille of 10 years ago!

21/09/2025: A very pleasant stopover, even though we're not in the mountains. The Prioux hamlet has authentic charm, with the stream below to cool our feet after a long walk.
The old stone building is divided into two parts: the refuge section with several dormitories, the common areas (dining room, bathrooms with hot showers!), and the inn section.
We received a very warm welcome, with a drink on the sunny terrace and dinner at the table d'hôtes. That evening, we had pella (tartiflette with raclette cheese), a green salad, and ice cream.
I highly recommend it 👍
12/09/2025: Impersonal welcome, decent room and good quality dinner. On the other hand, the picnic and breakfast are too light for hikers.

26/02/2026: The rooms are decent and fairly clean, but after four days we had to request housekeeping and fresh towels.
Breakfast is very repetitive: the same omelet, the same beans, the same sausages every morning. No vegetables. Instead, mostly pies and sweets—no croissants or pain au chocolat. The coffee is filter coffee, and you have to pay extra for "real" coffee. After three days, we decided to go into town.
Positive points: less than 1 km from the cable car and courteous service.
15/02/2026: Thank you for this excellent culinary experience. Congratulations to the chef for his generous, flavorful, and beautifully presented dishes, as well as his delicious homemade rillettes. Thank you also for the friendly and attentive service. We highly recommend it! The Ardèche team!

27/02/2026: We stopped at Pachu a few times on the slopes. The waiter was unpleasant except when it came time to pay (the prices are exorbitant). We waited over 30 minutes several times before our order was taken. Sometimes we had to leave because no one came to take our order. I strongly advise against going there.
25/02/2026: The prices are excessive, but that's the way it is; however, the staff is so unpleasant, it's a shame, it spoils the place.

22/02/2024: Si vous raffolez de plat savoyard ne choisissez pas ce restaurant. Je m’attendais à me régaler avec une tartiflette mais quelle déception : pommes de terre à l’eau couvertes de crème avec une tonne d’oignons coupés grossièrement car surgelés, des lardons pas cuits et 2 petits morceaux de reblochon… Pareil pour la croziflette. Et la salade qui accompagne de la bonne salade en sachet !
Bref en étant en Savoie on s’attend à beaucoup mieux
20/02/2024: Nous y sommes allés un soir la propreté se la vaisselles laisse à désirés nous avons pris une raclettes heureusement pas pirate carte service était sale il restait même du fromage collé sur les coupelles une fois avoir mangé la charcuterie lanplanche en bois était noir une salade de mâche non nettoyé.franchement très déçu. De plus des serveuse qui ce plaignent des clients étrangers.
