The Old English Pub
Cergy
21/10/2026: A very nice restaurant with very generous and delicious portions.
The noise level is high, which is typical of a pub atmosphere, but I found it a bit tiring while eating.
17/10/2026: First visit to this establishment, which I highly recommend:
- friendly staff,
- excellent mountain burger!

Berliner kebab

08/10/2026: Absolutely fantastic!!!
Served with pita bread, just like we have at home.
02/10/2026: Very bad Berliner, extremely salty, mediocre vegetables... Far too expensive for what it is!

Boulangerie Marie Blachere
Cergy
22/08/2026: A daily offer until 9 a.m.: 5 chocolate croissants and 5 regular croissants for €6.
We arrived at 8:55 a.m., and it was a bit busy.
When we finally arrived at 9:07 a.m., the "charming" cashier (irony intended) told us the offer had ended. I'm willing to accept that, but the problem is that she had served a woman just before us with the offer at 9:06 a.m.
Knowing that it was the "charming" woman herself who had offered the €6 deal to the previous customer.
So I told her I didn't understand, especially since she had just confirmed the offer for the previous customer.
"I can't do anything, time is time," she said in a very polite tone, of course (irony intended).
Rubbish and makes her decisions based on who she is! I won't be back.
11/08/2026: Bakery with a professional, friendly, and welcoming team – a real pleasure! The manager is radiant, and Mustapha is super nice; his pizzas are delicious. Well done to the whole team!

La Croissanterie
Cergy
24/09/2026: Having the sense to serve a customer who, in addition to a stroller and a toddler, also had to carry her full tray, is remarkable. Demonstrating empathy and consideration for the customer is an outstanding attitude; kudos to this employee for her initiative. She was on duty this Thursday, September 24th, between 2 and 3 pm.
24/09/2026: A very warm welcome and a generous, crispy croissant!
The coffee was served in a porcelain cup—so classy!
All for a reasonable price, thank you.

Restaurant L'Escale
Cergy
29/07/2026: Avoid at all costs! First and last time I'll ever set foot in this restaurant. The old woman who greeted me was simply unbearable: unpleasant, haughty, and with absolutely no customer service skills. You feel like you're intruding as soon as you walk in. A minimum of politeness and respect for customers would be the least they could do. It's regrettable to be received this way. I will never return and I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.
A waste of money and time. Avoid at all costs!
28/07/2026: The welcome was nonchalant; the owners have no sense of business.
I do not recommend it.
The owner, the woman, should get some training or retire. She has absolutely no sense of service, rushes people through, and gives you a dirty look.

Sarl kimigayo
Cergy
11/09/2026: I've been several times and always found the place a bit shabby, but I got drawn in by the team lunches. Sure, the prices are cheap, but the food is really not great and the freshness of the ingredients is very hit-or-miss. I came for sushi rolls and skewers for lunch today and I've been starving since this afternoon (coincidence?! I think not...). This will be my last time here.
25/05/2026: For me, it's the best Japanese restaurant in the area; I've never had any problems with the quality of the food. It's every bit as good as any Japanese restaurant in Paris.

Special mention for the stir-fried beef and the shrimp soup (one of the best things I've ever eaten).
