23/02/2024: I went to eat at this restaurant once, but that was a long time ago, in 2010, when it was still called Maître Kanter's Tavern. I have very good memories of it. Now, I regularly pass by this restaurant in the evening to consult the menu, perhaps just to return. But when I see the work right outside the door, I pity the bosses. I hope for their sake that the work has no impact on their customers. The other evening I wandered past and thought of a recent song by Pierre Perret called "Paris saccagée" released last year; And the idea came to me to perhaps write a song on the same model, but entitled “La Roche-Sur-Yon en travail”! All this work at the same time in La Roche, fed up, and I hope it doesn't bother the traders too much.

The only downside is that we are not given enough time to choose calmly and in view of the loaded menu, it would be good to let the customer take the time to choose so as not to have to choose in a hurry.

06/05/2024: Visiting La Roche today, I was already satisfied with the brand in general and my experience today only confirms this. Everything was perfect from A to Z (reception, cuisine, service). When it’s good, even very good, you have to know how to say it, I recommend it for meat lovers in particular 😉 PS: Please, never take your tiramisu off the menu, it's unique!

01/05/2024: Ate on May 1st in the evening, we had a very good evening with a diligent waiter and a touch of elegance in his gestures. Concerning the food (aperitif, starter, dessert course) nothing to complain about, around €45 per person which remains affordable for the quality Louttem limplementsem larfaitpem 😉

05/04/2024: Disappointed by our last 3 visits (service sometimes too long, quality and quantity of dishes decreasing, prices increasing, etc.), we persisted because we liked the brand. Well it was the last of the lasts!! Fast service, no worries!! But the marinated meat is all dry, without juice (fresh??), ultra nervous, the fries are so uninteresting and dry too, the winter vegetables on the side (frozen, which is ok) but served in mini portions, as if just thawed in the oven. microwave, with more pumpkin seeds than the squash itself, and the sweet potato which is reduced to pieces of skin, the grilled ham was fine, fortunately, even if the slice is very small, and finally the "cut "vanilla at 3.90 with the little ball of vanilla crying next to the little ball of whipped cream, served in the welcome salad ramekins...

01/04/2024: What a disappointment!!! We had booked for 7:15 p.m. but we notified by phone that we would arrive around 8 p.m. max, the gentleman told us no worries and there when we arrived. We limit ourselves to being sent on the roses which means it's limited (we're there at 7:43 p.m.) then the meal is served long, we ask for bread which will never arrive, the disappointing dessert (vanilla cookie cup with a scoop of vanilla and a tablespoon's worth of whipped cream but no broken cookies).

25/03/2024: Pleasant atmosphere, good choice of starters, main courses, desserts visibly homemade. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit salad.

01/04/2024: Very disappointed.. 4 of us came (3 people out of 4 very sick the next day) pizza not topped. I took a regina without mushrooms I asked for salad instead I was asked to pay 2.50 for salad even though I removed a short ingredient. The servers are not smiling, don't even know what their dishes include... apart from the gentleman with black glasses who was very nice. Not to mention the mop that is passed while you are eating and the waiters who eat at the table while there are still 2 tables in the del arte.. I've never seen that, sorry.

31/03/2024: Very disappointed, Milanese escalope on the menu for €18.90 but you have to add €4.50 for the accompaniment. Salad served without vinaigrette. Normally there is a sauce served with the meats but we had to ask for it and we had to wait 5 minutes before being served so the meat was cold. And the staff doesn't even apologize for the mistakes. Disappointing 😩

24/04/2024: I loved this hotel which has a soul. It has remained in its original form, kitsch as can be, charming and old-fashioned. The staff is attentive and very pleasant. The elderly boss also does everything he can to satisfy you; charming old-fashioned service. The food is also very good with excellent Scottish specialties.

21/04/2024: Quite cold welcome from the receptionist, Our room keys could open the other doors on our floor..(the friends I traveled with were able to open my door with their room key) During my shower, part of the shower head attachment remained in my hand. I couldn't raise the toilet lid, it went back down automatically. For the general condition of the room, I can say that it is dated.
