20/04/2024: 15th Exceptional Evening. What a desappointment!! Impossible to have a piece of bread to start the meal! “no, sir, not before the third course, there is plenty to eat” I’M HALLUCINATING!! I have made this dinner many times, one thing is certain, it will be my last! But also the last time you will see me again in your establishment….

18/05/2024: Right in the center, but... the hut feels like it's made of cardboard, it's so noisy. With the exception of the guy at the reception in the morning, the rest of the staff does their job somewhat OK, but they seem completely unmotivated. To put it mildly, the triple room was very simple and not as modern as in the photos. The bathroom was about the same size as the rest of the room; the bedroom was too small for three people. We barely had room for our luggage. It just had a cupboard that was much too small with a safe that you could easily have taken with you. We were promised a bicycle storage room. But it was far too small for all the bicycle tourists in the hotel, or 2/3 of the room was the storage room for junk. In addition, it was never locked and was very easy to access without anyone from the staff keeping an eye on it. That's why we left our bikes on the bike rack in the car. That was definitely the safer option. The breakfast was minimalistic, but OK. What we didn't know: that breakfast wasn't included in the room price. For 3 nights of 2 adults and 1 child we had to pay almost 100 EUR additionally. Price-performance for the room with breakfast was an absolute flop for almost 500 EUR. We really can't recommend the hotel to anyone.

13/05/2024: The website is very well done but it is not realistic. The 2 stars are for the restaurant, at this level nothing to complain about. For the hotel, in the stairs and the corridor where you access the rooms it smells like sewers, the corridors are narrow and dark. The room (11) that we had has not been renovated but "arranged" so to speak... Old carpet on the floor, broken light fixture, old-fashioned bathroom with faucets that have worn out. Toilets from another age, an old cup on the balcony filled with cigarette butts, a horrible flushing sound coming from the floors above. Breakfast was served almost 3/4 hours late, industrial products apart from the baguette, no fresh croissants from the baker, and for 12€ per person... I repeat, we ate very well in the restaurant in the evening. But the rest needs to be reviewed, I don't know where the 3 stars are and especially the price of €109 per room and €12 per person for breakfast is really too high. I really don't recommend the hotel if nothing is done to fix all this.

05/04/2024: For once, curiosity won out over recent evaluations! And we did well: friendly and very quick welcome on the terrace: our 2 dogs were treated to a nice bowl of fresh water before our aperitif 🤣 the hamburger and the Thai Charolais tartare very good, impeccable service. Good value for money. And what interior decoration: it’s worth the detour alone! Top !

Perfect for a short stay in Gérardmer as it’s opposite the lake and a short walk to the town centre where there are lots of bars and restaurants The room was very comfortable and clean and on the top floor so very spacious and nicely decorated I would definitely recommend it and we’ll be back!
