14/02/2026: No all-you-can-eat buffet! The glasses are dirty and there are cobwebs everywhere under the chairs.
08/01/2026: I ate for €11.90 with the all-you-can-eat option. The food wasn't extraordinary; some dishes, like the rice, were good but nothing special, and I found the meats I tried tasteless. It wasn't disgusting, but it wasn't worth the price, especially considering the limited selection. There was no one there when I went, so the service was immediate and flawless. The atmosphere is quite pleasant, with background music and nice decor, even if the lighting was a bit dim. The hygiene was acceptable. Overall, it's a pretty good restaurant, but rather expensive for what it offers.

24/03/2026: Tried it out for St. Patrick's Day, and thanks to everyone because what the city organized was ridiculously bad.
The bar is great, the waitresses/waiters are super friendly, and the owner is very cool. Lots of drink choices.
The atmosphere is fantastic, music playing all day, they were showing the France/England rugby match.
I'll be back soon!

24/04/2026: I have rarely stayed in a place where kindness and hospitality are so prevalent.
It may not be the height of luxury, but honestly, when I read some reviews, I think some people have lost sight of what's truly important… Here, you are welcomed with open arms.
Step through the door of Hôtel des Deux Gares and see for yourself: a simple, welcoming, and warm atmosphere.
And a special mention for the bedding… pure bliss, perfect for a wonderful night's sleep!
You were a lifesaver, thank you again for this short stay 🙏🏻

18/01/2026: The hotel appears abandoned at first glance. It's in a state of advanced disrepair. The reception was friendly but unprofessional. The overall condition of the building and the room is dilapidated, hygiene is highly questionable, and there are no window coverings (dangerous for children).
The only positive points are its proximity to the train station, the affordable price, and the view of the cathedral.
The promotional photos are nine years old, and no maintenance appears to have been done since then. I do not recommend this place.

08/09/2024: Très beau buffet et y en a pour tout les gouts - cela va du buffet d entrée au buffet de dessert très bien garni avec beaucoup de choix dont des spécialités.
Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.
Cadre magnifique.
Perso, je compte bien y retourner prochainement
Prix plus que correct.

18/11/2023: Découverte lors d'un dejeuner de cette brasserie.
Belle deception : nous avons pris un hamburger au poulet, inondé de sauce avec un poulet très étrange : une tranche très épaisse de blanc de poulet (probablement acheté sous vide), avec des cornichons à tout va. Nous avons également testé le boeuf bourguignon dont la sauce était probablement composé en grande partie d'eau...
Seul point positif : les frites semblaient maison. Et pris par le temps, nous n'avons pas eu le temps (ou l'envie) de tester les désserts. Même en dépannage, je n'y retournerai pas..

29/06/2024: Petit arrêt impromptu sur Auxerre et coup de chance, nous avons pu avoir une place. Accueil et service impeccable, entrée, plat et dessert étaient subtils et délicieux. Mention spéciale pour le tartare aux saveurs estivales et l'île flottante sur sa soupe aux fruits rouges.

10/08/2024: Nous avons eu l'impression de casser les pieds en arrivant et ça a duré tout le long du repas. Quand aux cuissons des viandes... Une catastrophe. Même la personne qui aime sa viande bien cuite l'a trouvée difficilement mangeable. J'avais demandé saignant.... C'était plus qu'à point. Et on a vraiment le sentiment d'être poussés dehors. Ne vous inquiétez pas : même en restant dans la zone, nous avons le choix de manger ailleurs.
Heureusement que je sais que certains restau de la chaine relèvent le niveau.
02/08/2024: Nul on a l impression de les gêner, pas du tout professionnel, en plus repas pas terrible, sauce roquefort nul fadasse,je ne le recommande pas,et surtout changer de personnel,ils ne sont pas compétent...

31/08/2024: Very welcoming and helpfull staff. Even got the WhatsApp number to text if anything needs to be communicated.
Room is good, bed is nice, shower too. I've stayed here for 6 nights with pleasure ♡
17/08/2024: Hotel of terror, from the outside it looks like an abandoned building, the reception was dirty, messy and smelled very bad, we arrived at 3pm and it was still dirty from breakfast, there was even a kitten in an armchair at the reception, the room was dirty.... , we had 2 nights and we slept one and left. I don't recommend it to anyone.
