02/07/2026: Some of the food was delicious, but a lot of it lacked creativity and was mediocre in taste. We were disappointed with the average wine pairing, pretty much got the same wine regardless of what we ordered, but in all fairness it was only 23€ for three glasses. I expected better based on the reviews. Cheese chariot was great.

24/06/2026: Excellent restaurant, welcoming and very friendly staff. The food is very good and the dishes are beautifully presented. The price is reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

09/05/2026: Excellent restaurant! Fresh ingredients, superb pho, and friendly service. One suggestion: replace one of the fritters on the platter for two with Vietnamese crepes, as it's quite a lot of fried food. I only deducted one star because they don't accept restaurant vouchers, which is a shame.

30/04/2026: Saigon is a well-located restaurant in the heart of the old town and is very popular. The 3 bo buns we ordered arrived quickly despite the fact that one knife was missing. They were very spicy for our son and grandmother's taste, but still good. I recommend this restaurant.

10/04/2026: A restaurant I highly recommend! The owner is very welcoming and warm! The food is delicious and reminiscent of our grandmothers' cooking (especially the tomato sauce). We even enjoyed the terrace in the evening on a lovely square in Auxerre! Go without hesitation!

30/03/2026: Superb restaurant, warm welcome, typical decor, and of course, exquisite cuisine served by the smiling and attentive owner. We wanted a royal couscous, traditional style, and it arrived piping hot, with its intoxicating aroma. My partner preferred a chicken tagine. Everything was delicious and in generous portions. For his birthday, our grandson, a couscous enthusiast, fulfilled his wish: to taste a real couscous! Thank you to the chef and thank you to our lovely waitress. The best part is the exotic background music that transports you. I highly recommend this establishment! The only downside: the dining room was a bit chilly; bring a light sweater in colder weather.

20/06/2026: The food is very good; there are no bones in the skewers, unlike at Ayako Sushi. The portion of rice is generous. You can customize your order. The egg rolls are only available here and are delicious! It's a shame they're not on Uber Eats and don't deliver to Vallan.

28/06/2026: We arrived a bit late that evening due to a last-minute change of plans, and the food, which had clearly been overheated, wasn't great: dry spring rolls, stale sashimi, and the same for sushi. But the worst part was the lack of air conditioning in the middle of a heatwave. We were uncomfortable and cut our evening short. As a result, I barely ate because I was far too hot.

27/06/2026: Hello everyone. Another sweltering day! We wanted to eat somewhere cool at Royale de Chine, as we always do when we decide to eat Asian food. I'm extremely disappointed by their way of hiding the broken air conditioning from customers. It's absolutely awful, especially with this heatwave, all just to make money. It's a disgrace for a restaurant to have no fans or even portable air conditioners—a real ordeal for a family meal! I advise you to ask them if their air conditioning is working before you sit down. That's my advice because it's really not nice of them. P.S.: Keep your drink menus; they might be useful for making a fan.

13/06/2026: This isn't my first time at this restaurant. The service is impeccable, and there wasn't too much of a wait. However, a little smile from the servers would be perfect ☺️☺️ The food is very, very good.

10/06/2026: I come to Auxerre quite often for work. I wanted to try an Italian restaurant because I was craving pizza. I was very disappointed. I found the pizza bland, with what was called mozzarella cheese, but it tasted more like plastic than anything else. Even the burrata was of very average quality. I think the owner is trying to cut corners on ingredients to maintain a higher profit margin. That's his choice... it won't be mine anymore.
