10/10/2026: Passing through Auxerre, we wanted to discover this hidden gem of a restaurant, known for its wood-fired specialties. We met a passionate and very friendly chef, who was happy to advise his customers. A perfect dinner, from appetizer to dessert, featuring seasonal and high-quality ingredients. The grilled dishes were superb (duck breast and Angus beef skewer). We enjoyed glasses of Irancy and Mercurey red wines, with a particular fondness for the full-bodied Mercurey. We highly recommend this restaurant and will undoubtedly return on our next visit to Auxerre. A&C

03/10/2026: A little restaurant that deserves to be discovered! Open only for lunch, but you'll understand why when you consider the time spent preparing all these delicious homemade dishes. And when I say homemade, I mean everything from the absolutely excellent ratafia with mirabelle plums as an aperitif to the foie gras served with seasonal ingredients, meltingly smooth, and continuing with a variety of other dishes, all very original and beautifully presented. The owner is passionate and engaging, sharing his story and experience. The owner is very welcoming and friendly, perfectly explaining the flavors you'll find on your plate. Finally, they sell completely homemade products for those with a sweet tooth. In short, you get the picture! Enjoy without moderation.

16/10/2026: This was my second visit , passing through Auxerre. The restaurant is exceptional- fantastic food cooked on site with a good vegetarian option. I travelled on my own but was made to feel very welcome and had great service. I love the dining room - great decor, no music, plenty of space. Well done for maintaining a small independent restaurant in the centre of town with such high standards. I would always eat here if I lived locally!

The food: The buckwheat galettes are delicious, perfectly crispy, and generously filled. The sweet crêpes for dessert were equally delicious, made with high-quality ingredients. The service: Efficient, friendly, and attentive, despite the crowds. An excellent place for a delicious break while visiting Auxerre. We highly recommend it!

15/10/2026: Fourteen of us came with a reservation. We couldn't eat together because the wait was very long for some. And if you have the misfortune of asking for bread while you wait, you're immediately reprimanded by the owner who, in a condescending tone, tells you that it's always like that and basically makes you feel like a difficult customer. Even though the customer is always right, he reminds you that kings were beheaded. A blatant lack of respect for a customer who simply asks for a piece of bread! If you ask for a vegetarian dish that isn't on the menu, you're told the chef will prepare one: the result is tasteless tomatoes and a plate that doesn't look like much. Furthermore, the food is neither refined nor good, just everyday fare at a very high price for what it is. In conclusion, very disappointing, bad atmosphere, avoid at all costs. We won't be back.

Tried different specific restaurants but nothing compares to it, their couscous is so tasty, always so so flavoured, perfect balance between grains and vegetables ! I often order their food at home and the food is always fresh and the quality never disappoints. Sur place, I love the mint tea !!

02/10/2026: Having received a gift card, I decided to book three weeks in advance for four people. The day before our visit, on Thursday, I called the restaurant. A woman answered, and I clearly explained that I had booked for the following day, that I had a gift card, and that, of course, I would pay the extra charge at the end for my friends. Thirty minutes later, the owner called me back to say that we couldn't come to eat the next day after all, because he was the one cooking and his chef wasn't there. An hour later, I saw a post from the restaurant on social media: "Come discover our new menu tomorrow." 🤔 So I called the restaurant again, without giving my name, and booked again for four people. The response was: "Yes, of course!" Clearly, the gift card didn't seem to interest the owner... Not very professional or respectful towards customers. Especially since a group of friends, who had come a week earlier, had also told me they were very poorly treated by the manager during their meal at the same restaurant. I obviously won't comment on the meal since I didn't get to eat there, even though I had been to this establishment before. But one thing is certain: you won't be seeing us at your establishment again!

26/07/2026: We've been going there for over 10 years: never disappointed! On the contrary! We adore their shaded terrace (but in winter, the interior is also very pleasant). Their cuisine is wonderful; a guaranteed culinary journey; my taste buds always thank me for going! The service is ideal: attentive and discreet. The atmosphere lives up to everything else.
