19/09/2026: A fantastic discovery! La Chouette in Cernay la Ville is definitely worth a visit. It's a place where everything comes together: a pleasant setting, a warm atmosphere, a top-notch welcome, and above all, excellent cuisine. The dishes are carefully prepared, generous, and bursting with flavor. But a special mention goes to the ambiance, the quality of the artists, and the show! Special thanks to the team led by Tony, who are always smiling, professional, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. In short, a place I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will gladly return. 👌 Bravo to the entire team at La Chouette! 🦉❤️

15/09/2026: A huge thank you to Amandine, Tony, the artists, and all the staff for this excellent evening. The Generation 80 show was sublime, featuring talented performers. The dinner was generous, with impeccable service. Let yourself be swept away by this enchanting cabaret.

12/09/2026: The terrace and setting are magnificent. We didn't have the pleasure of trying the food, but the show put on by the owner is worth its weight in gold. Special mention to Boris, who certainly wasn't on his first drink of the afternoon 🤫. If you're looking for peace and quiet, look elsewhere, or come at 10 a.m. instead! 😜 On the agenda for our gourmet break: The owner's almost over-the-mic greeting: We politely ask for a non-alcoholic Spritz. The owner addresses the entire terrace: "Please applaud, these people are asking for a non-alcoholic Spritz! This isn't Paris!!" Thanks for the sign; the irony was on the house. The custom (but imposed) order: No menu. A sign announces "homemade strawberry melon ice cream." We simply want ice cream and drinks... The result? The owner insisted we order just ONE Strawberry Melba for two and a carafe of water, repeatedly saying, "It's cheap!!" We hadn't asked for "cheap," but whatever… The show continued: He brought what seemed to be the only sundae available at that hour (a single scoop of vanilla ice cream, a few strawberries, whipped cream, and two cookies) and prompted another round of applause from the other customers. We weren't sure if we were in a restaurant or at a farcical comedy show. He was so over-the-top that he came back to us saying, "Wait, I forgot the cherry on top!" and returned with two more cookies because he'd forgotten he'd already put some on the sundae. 😂 When it came time to pay, the supposedly cheap sundae came to €14. Having only €10 in cash, we pulled out our credit cards. Bad idea! A theatrical crisis: he refuses to process a €14 card payment "so as not to pay taxes to Mr. Mac…" and "not to finance weapons for the UKR…". He grabs our €10 note and puts the remaining €4 on his SumUp terminal, yelling: "Are you Yellow Vests or what?!" 😮 In short, a quirky local institution with an owner who has absolutely no filter. If you like absurdist theater, go for it. Otherwise, try the morning or the bar next door!! 😆

30/09/2026: As a customer of Jardin Sucré in Cernay-la-Ville for several years, I am unfortunately becoming increasingly disappointed by the attitude of one of the salespeople. I have dealt with him several times now, and I find his behavior particularly haughty, with a real lack of customer service. I have let several minor things slide over time, but given the repeated nature of this behavior, I now feel compelled to share my experience. On my last visit, I left a bill of over €70, including a large box containing several pastries and another box with a slice of cake. The salesperson simply handed me the two boxes, one on top of the other. I asked if it would be possible to have a bag, as carrying two boxes like that not only risks dropping them but, more importantly, damaging the pastries, given their price. I finally received a paper bag, not a store-brand bag. It's not the bag itself that bothers me, but rather the fact that the service is absolutely not up to the standard one would expect when spending over €70 on pastries. A simple "Would you like a bag?" would have sufficed. However, I should mention that I've always had very good experiences with the sales assistants, whom I find much more attentive and helpful. I've placed large orders for cakes and visited the shop several times, and everything has always gone very smoothly. So it's really this particular salesperson's attitude that disappoints me. I find it a shame because the quality of the products is excellent, but the customer experience also matters. And unfortunately, I'm not the only one who has noticed this behavior. I sincerely hope this comment can be taken as constructive feedback, because with a little more attention and a better sense of service, the experience would be completely different.
