The food is bland, greasy, heavy, lacking finesse, and the cooking is poorly executed.
The dishes are swimming in flavorless sauces; the sweetbreads are overcooked, practically minced, and swimming in a tasteless sauce. The amuse-bouches are lukewarm.
There's no culinary identity, no technical skill in the kitchen.
The owner's behavior is authoritarian and haughty; she would be more at home in a company cafeteria. If you don't choose one of the daily specials, she'll give you a sour look for the rest of your meal.
The prices are far too high for the quality of the food served.
This restaurant has changed a lot, and unfortunately, it has regressed considerably; the refined cuisine that used to be enjoyed is completely gone!
11/02/2026: It had been a few years since we'd last visited La Maison des Bois... and we were delighted to find that the culinary experience was still exceptional.
There were no unpleasant surprises, quite the opposite... only the finest, most luxurious ingredients.
You can savor scallops with caviar and truffles.
Simply divine. The venison loin with redcurrants was also outstanding.
A special mention goes to the chef, who is equally at home in the dining room and the kitchen. We appreciated being served by him and receiving such thoughtful touches.
A thousand thanks to him for the time he dedicated to us, and to the housekeeper as well.
We had an extraordinary evening.

It was really good! The staff was very friendly and attentive.
If we come back to Plaisir, we will definitely come back.

22/01/2026: A loyal customer of this restaurant for two years, I hadn't been back for several months.
What a huge disappointment!! I always ordered the same two dishes, which I know by heart: Szechuan eggplant and crispy chicken with house sauce, served with stir-fried noodles or fried rice. The eggplant dish was removed from the menu following a change of chef, who apparently tweaked it a bit. As for the crispy chicken, it was a disaster! The crispy chicken recipe has either changed or is poorly executed; its excellent house sauce has turned into a sickeningly oily mess. The stir-fried noodles, besides being bland, were loaded with oil and sugar. It's the first time I've ever left any on my plate. In short, let's just say that my favorite restaurant is going to have to find a new one. It's a real shame about the change of ownership or chef.
26/12/2025: I made a reservation on The Fork, but when I came, the restaurant was closed (25/12)

21/02/2026: Delicious appetizers on a Saturday at lunchtime. Disappointed by the sirloin steak and the Angus ribeye, which lacked flavor and was far too overcooked. A meal that didn't live up to the setting. A shame.

Surprisingly, the waitress spoke flawless English, which was very helpful. Overall we had a wonderful experience here.

14/02/2026: As regular customers for several years, we found the pizzas decent, and it was the ease of ordering delivery that mattered most to us on certain evenings. It's a shame that management now allows rude and disrespectful staff to handle phone orders. As a result, we've discovered a friendly independent pizza maker near us who offers good, affordable, artisanal pizzas. Goodbye Pizza Hut.
08/02/2026: My rating is solely based on the restaurant's appearance, if you can even call it that; I remembered a real Pizza Hut in the area; it was nothing like this!! After spending a few minutes looking at the menu, we absolutely did not like the place! It's just bad fast food! We went to eat somewhere else; we will never return!!!!

14/02/2026: The restaurant is dirty and when eating in you have to double-check your tray as your order is not as ordered and on top of that they are not happy when you come to complain about your missing items.
30/01/2026: This McDonald's is getting worse and worse. If they're meticulous about one thing, it's the poor service: between the constant oversights, the cold food, and the flat drinks, this fast-food place is a joke... nothing works. The children's play area is filthy. As for the staff, although the job is difficult, their nonchalance is appalling. In short, go to the one in Les Clayes-sous-Bois: it's 5 minutes further, but you'll save a lot of time compared to what you wasted here because of their inherent slowness.

The tea cap is very dusty. I kindly ask for a replacement cap. I'm boldly told, "Would I BE CLEAN?"

17/09/2024: I would like to congratulate Burger King for having such an exceptional employee like Clarisse. My experience at this restaurant was simply incredible thanks to its exemplary service. Clarisse demonstrated remarkable professionalism: smiling, attentive, and extremely efficient, she knew how to make this moment most pleasant. Every detail was taken into account with great attention, and his kindness truly brightened my day. Thanks to people like Clarisse, we always want to come back to Burger King. A big thank you to her for her excellent work, she is a real asset to the team!
