Excellent restaurant with no pretension, just outstanding food and genuine hospitality. The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed and convivial. The staff took pride in explaining the local and regional origins of the ingredients, which made the experience even more enjoyable. They also offer a very good selection of local wines. It’s not inexpensive, but every euro was well spent. We absolutely loved this place and would gladly return.

Excellent wood fire grill restaurant near the water side. We had a choice of tables when we arrived at 19.00 but it was full by the time we left after a hearty meal of grilled sea food and meat. They spoke English and very welcoming. Lovely cider and wine to go with the very fresh food.

What a pleasure to eat such perfectly cooked fresh fish over a wood fire! From appetizer to dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We highly recommend it and will gladly return.

In a word: EXCELLENT!!! We found this restaurant after seeing suggestions on social media, and it truly is a superb place. The servers are young, energetic, and friendly… As for the food, it's simply magnificent. The fish (monkfish tail and John Dory) was cooked to perfection, and the side dishes (creamy lemon risotto and potatoes with Basque sauce) enhanced them even more. The interior is also beautifully decorated! I have only one piece of advice: go for it without hesitation! 😁

I wondered if a review was even necessary, given my hunger to recount my dining experience. I'll remember from now on that when it comes to a fish restaurant, you should order fish. That evening, I was starving, and meat was more appealing. The starter was very good: excellent baby squid. Then came the main courses. At first, I thought the waiter had stepped in dog poop (a subjective sensory description), hence the nauseating smell. But when he left, I realized it was actually my beef. Sniffing it a little more closely, my grandmother thought it smelled like white vinegar. The restaurant didn't charge us for the meat and offered us an apple tart and a glass of white wine. As for the second course, the fish, it was also very good.

A wonderful Basque culinary discovery. Grilled sardines, lobsters, John Dory with preserved lemon risotto, excellent grilled confit pork, and delectable desserts: warm black cherries with a scoop of ice cream, and sheep's milk crème brûlée with a preserved lemon crumble ❤️ A very warm welcome! We will definitely return.
