29/03/2024: This is my new favorite restaurant in France. It's just a 35-minute drive from the center of San Sebastian (about 15 minutes from Biarritz) and is well worth whatever effort you have to make to visit. Each dish is a feast for the senses, beautiful, flavorful, and well textured. And the sauces were exquisite! To top it all off, the service was excellent. I felt at home from the minute I arrived.
A huge thank you to Chef David from Bistro Ondaretta in San Sebastian for the recommendation. I feel positively spoiled to live so close to such wonderful restaurants!

11/03/2024: I frequented this golf course a lot as a "junior", more than 45 years ago and I have always loved it. I got back into golf recently (with difficulty after 35 years off) but I didn't play this time. Just a trip to the Proshop where you are very well received by a charming lady.

04/04/2024: Despite friendly wait staff, the dishes served are average. A pan of anchovies was well served but on the other hand the pan of squid in tomato sauce (very mediocre in fact) was ultra salty despite a correct presentation.
To finish, I order a coffee which never arrived at my table, but on time on the bill.
31/03/2024: Extremely long service, very poor value for money.
19€ for a dry and poorly (or not at all) duck confit and frozen fries.
26€ a small piece of rubbery octopus placed on a little potato mashed with olive oil. Deplorable!

The spot: peaceful in April with a temperature of 26° :)) with a blues and cool musical atmosphere!
The service: very gentle by Paloma! flawless ! charming and very professional, like the owner of the place, dynamic and friendly, caring for his customers.
The dishes: “local beef chuck”, hearty and tender! and trout with chive cream, perfectly cooked with cauliflower and chard!
Thank you for this delicious and friendly break!
Far from the bustle of Saint-Jean, take a break at ALAIA near the Socoa fort to eat or have a drink: so authentic and charming!
