26/04/2026: The restaurant excels in its cuisine, ambiance, and service, thanks to its authenticity. It even inspired an old tradition my uncle used to follow when everything was perfect: bursting into song (or even shouting!) a Luis Mariano song without warning anyone. "Mexico" would have been perfect, but I'd forgotten the lyrics. I'll learn them and definitely be back! Love is a bouquet of violets!

23/04/2026: The best value for money around. Everything is delicious, the service is very friendly (big shout-out to Zoé), and the set menu (either a main course or a main course and dessert) is €22. What more could you ask for? The view? The port, the sea, the fort. What else?
23/04/2026: We came as a family for lunch today, and we had a wonderful meal! Special mention to the hake fillet and the cookie 🤗

10/11/2025: A wonderful discovery at the end of October 2025! It's lovely to be able to stop for a meal in a nice little place while walking to Fort Socoa. The waitress who greeted and served us was very friendly and welcoming. We had mussels and fries, which were delicious, with a generous cone of fries. I highly recommend this place.

26/03/2026: The ratatouille was a little too salty, otherwise nothing to complain about, it was good, original, and local cuisine.
25/03/2026: The fish was delicious and cooked to perfection.
It's a shame the welcome wasn't very warm, and that we were seated on benches without backrests.
We asked for some peanuts with our aperitif, but this was refused. Value for money: poor.

I chose the €28 set menu (starter, main course, dessert) and I wasn't disappointed.
The cod fritters as a starter were excellent. The roast hake was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of flavor and a harmonious balance. Special mention goes to the vegetables: I've rarely eaten vegetables so well cooked and seasoned.
All this was accompanied by exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive service, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
A real treat from start to finish, I highly recommend it!

26/04/2026: My wife, Etchegoyen, took me to Pantxua in our youth, and I returned on a pilgrimage! Working for a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the fish and, above all, the presentation of the dishes, from the seafood platter to the dessert.
Furthermore, the staff offers excellent advice on the dishes and wine pairings. In short, you can have lunch on the terrace, just 100 meters from the port of Socoa, at a very reasonable price considering the quality of the ingredients.
I was also amazed by the number of long-time regulars who frequent the restaurant.
I highly recommend this restaurant; I will definitely return one evening with friends.
10/04/2026: A very disappointing family dinner... A plate of baby squid, 100 grams barely scraping by on my far too large plate, and a portion of fries—get this—14, no more! Yes, I counted them, it was so unbelievable! All this for the modest sum of 24 euros! The manager came and raised her voice; I'm a restaurant owner myself and I can't believe it... Anyway, there are plenty of other restaurants around here that won't treat you like an idiot!

Déjeuner en terrasse au soleil avec vue sur le fort de Socoa… La pariada Royale était vraiment composée d’excellents produits frais, goûteux et juteux ! La cuisson parfaitement maîtrisée, le homard bleu, les gros gambas, grosses langoustines et le merlu étaient un vrai bonheur pour nos papilles ! Et les desserts divins ! Le gâteau Basque à la pistache et le baba au rhum étaient succulents ! Le frais, le fait maison, les produits nobles , de qualité et d’une extrême fraîcheur ! Nous avons hâte de revenir pour goûter la poulpe !! Sans oublier L’adorable serveuse ! Merci à toute l’équipe pour ce merveilleux moment. À très vite..
