Au Bistronome sur Saint-Omer

Came here for Valentine's Day, very well received and served, delicious food.

We went for Valentine's Day, and it had been a long time since I'd eaten so well. Everything was perfect: the taste, the originality, the service—a 10/10. I highly recommend this restaurant, which is one of the best in Saint-Omer!

We tried the Valentine's Day menu and it was a delightful surprise from the amuse-bouche to dessert—not a single flaw! The cuisine is delicate and flavorful, and the dishes are beautifully presented. The service is excellent, and the servers know their stuff. The ambiance is pleasant overall, even if there are a few minor points that could be improved, but the essentials are there: you feel right at home! I also appreciated the tableware, which beautifully showcases the food. Among the many positive aspects I noted were the originality of the dishes, with some wonderful new flavors, excellent bread, and well-crafted desserts made by a pastry chef. The exotic ginger ice cream was exceptional, as was the Mojito-style lemon tart. In conclusion, I would simply say that you can go there without hesitation; you won't be disappointed. Everything is perfectly executed!

Possibly the best meal I have ever enjoyed in France. This restaurant is definitely worth a detour. Quite how Au Bistronome has not been awarded stars or accolades escapes me. Perhaps because chasing prizes would detract from serving amazing food and wine in a truly magical way. We started with what could have been bold and heavy starters, the presentation of these was joyous and light – a perfect entree. The mains were sensational, desert was heavenly. Each plate was perfectly sized and just magnificent, the sadness of finishing one course extinguished by the perfectly timed arrival of the next. The service was spectacular; Julien was a true artist at work. On the surface he appeared to be laid back and subtle, yet he was always one step ahead – reading our body language, always being there at just the right moment – the constantly flawless timing was not pure luck, this service was a true master at work. Despite the restaurant filling up with a large party, Julien’s service never missed a beat – he really does make it look easy! Our food and wine choices glided to the table with swan like serenity and without unnecessary flowery descriptions – the impeccable food did the talking, Julien the listening. I’m very hard pushed to think of a meal which can beat the one we had at Au Bistronome, for the amazing food, incredible wine, and the effortless perfection in service. I highly recommend this restaurant where the quality of the food and service is outstanding. The dishes are delicious, the servers are very attentive and helpful, and the owner is very professional. The entire team is dedicated to ensuring you have a wonderful experience.

A wonderful discovery yesterday! We tried their gourmet menu (we highly recommend the scallops with truffles for truffle lovers!). The food was excellent, and the service was very efficient and attentive. The servers were very responsive and helpful. A nice touch was the use of local produce, which complemented the dishes perfectly.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, where the atmosphere is very pleasant and the welcome was incredibly warm. The dishes and cocktails are prepared with high-quality ingredients; everything is optimized to ensure a delicious meal and a pleasant experience. A truly great find. We will gladly return!
