Au Four St. Louis sur Carcassonne

Fabulous restaurant, one of the few places in Carcassonne with vegan option which was why we went. It was really amazing food service , decor and ambiance. Plus lovely cutlery and wash basins honestly the little things make all the difference. Highly and thoroughly recommend .

Very nice space and garden, delicious food, a portion of cassoulet for 2 people is more than enough, pizzas with nice dough and super staff, open also at lunchtime..

Really enjoyed our pizza and green salad plus ‘moutarde’. The taste was great and the service from the young (and happy) team was exceptional. Well done all.

We’ve been in France for 3 weeks and this place has reserved its spot as our most favorite restaurant. I have high expectations when eating out, and this place did not disappoint. Service, atmosphere, portion sizes were great. They accommodated our family of 4 (including an infant and toddler) with a high chair. The Pizza, salmon salad and tiramisu were excellent. Don’t hesitate to visit this spot.

Highly recommended! We ate here twice during our stay in Carcassonne. Very dog friendly, excellent service by Majda in particular who was so friendly and spoke English. Food including the kangaroo steak, cassoulet, swordfish and pizza was delicious and good value for money!

Very friendly service. The pizzas were incredibly delicious; we highly recommend them. There's a kids' menu for children up to 12 years old, which includes a drink, pizza, and dessert.

Hidden away within the stunning medieval walls of Carcassonne, we stumbled across this absolute gem of a restaurant while exploring the historic city, and it completely exceeded our expectations. ​We decided to try the chef’s special snails and the black pudding salad, and both dishes were phenomenal. While the snail dish appeared deceptively small at first glance, the kitchen certainly didn’t scrimp on the portions—it was packed with snails and surprisingly hearty and filling. The black pudding salad was equally impressive, cooked to absolute perfection and bursting with rich, savory flavor. In fact, it was so good that my partner completely forgot about his beer while eating it! ​We were enjoying the experience so much—and the food was so super delicious—that we completely forgot to take any photos. If you are wandering around the walled city and want an authentic, unforgettable meal, make sure you track this place down.
