What a shame! The food is quite good; the cooking, seasoning, and presentation are all of a high standard. However, the portions are meager, especially the foie gras, which is more like a matchstick than a slice, and the fish, which deserved a side dish. The dessert was very good, but don't forget to order a cheese plate, also presented in very small quantities, but it will fill you up and prevent you from leaving hungry. Again, the cuisine is refined, and the portions are equally impressive.

An exceptional culinary experience in the heart of the Cité de Carcassonne. La Table d'Alaïs is the perfect antidote to tourist traps. We savored an absolutely divine homemade cassoulet (Castelnaudary beans and duck confit), worthy of the Universal Academy of Cassoulet! Jérémy Thomann's cuisine brilliantly blends tradition and modernity, notably the perfectly cooked 64° egg. Special mention goes to the warm welcome. Excellent value for money at this Michelin-recommended restaurant.
