The service was rather slow, and smiles were scarce... The cheese selection turned into salad and cold cuts; if they don't have any left or only have a little, I think they should let you know, and that's what we decided on. The salad came with whole leaves; I don't understand why it's so hard to cut them a little. The seafood platter itself wasn't anything to write home about either, but we chose the wine well.

Very good, reasonable prices, helpful waiter. The mussels were very well cooked and the pizzas were made with good ingredients.

I enjoyed the three-cheese macaroni; it was delicious. It's always a pleasure to return to this restaurant; the service is friendly and the dishes are generally well-prepared. I've really enjoyed many of the dishes I've had there.

Rare restaurant open on a Monday evening. Decent pizza. Goat cheese salad with a mass-produced log of cheese and soggy toast... It's not hard to do better!

I congratulate this restaurant, which we discovered by chance. We had a 1.5 kg Limousin Bleu rib steak. The food was perfect, the fries too, and the sauce was spot on. To finish, we had homemade chocolate mousse. The welcome was excellent, as was the kindness of the staff in the kitchen. I highly recommend this restaurant, which also offers good value for money. You won't be disappointed. Former restaurant owners. Nadine Christophe

Hotel Restaurant Lons

29/05/2026: We visited Hotel Lons for two nights as part of a visit to the cave of Niaux and Foix castle. The staff, especially Mr Chaubert, were very kind in assisting to reserve a taxi and make dinner reservations. The hotel is very well-located walking distance from the train station and is in an area with many restaurants, shops, and attractions that are within walking distance as well. The rooms are comfortable and pretty. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the patio overlooking the river is a peaceful place to enjoy coffee or drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hotel Lons and hope to make a return visit next summer to see the sights that we missed this time.
26/05/2026: We were a group of nine at the end of our trek on the Cathar Trail. After covering 220 km, what a pleasure it was to find ourselves in this charming hotel, with its lovely rooms, wonderful welcome, and helpful staff. Truly a great place to stay in the heart of Foix.

19/05/2026: Unique setting, and the owner is great too 🤭 Good concept, good food. Good value for money. At the foot of the castle, under the market hall, sheltered from the sun. Complimentary digestif. A very good place to eat.
15/05/2026: A wonderful experience. The welcome and the quality were excellent.
