We'll definitely be back to this restaurant. We had the lunch special. It was excellent, and very reasonably priced. Plus, the staff were welcoming and friendly despite being very busy. Well done!

The food was good. No complaints there. The service, while quick, wasn't great... We had to ask for bread, napkins, and water... even though the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. However, the staff were very friendly.

What a discovery! Absolutely packed out with locals on a Thursday lunchtime, but the staff squeezed us in, even though we hadn't reserved. Food scores highly on both quality and quantity. Remains authentically Alsatian in a village that is being swallowed up by gentrification.

Passing through on a motorcycle road trip. I recommend making a reservation as it was fully booked for a Thursday evening. A restaurant with a lovely setting. Friendly and professional servers. The traditional sauerkraut is very generous and delicious. The prices are reasonable. I recommend this restaurant!

Le Gastronomique | Hostellerie des Chateaux

24/06/2026: We stayed in a suite at Hostellerie des Châteaux in Ottrott and, overall, had a very pleasant experience. The hotel's location is truly beautiful, nestled between vineyards and forests in a peaceful setting at the foot of the Vosges Mountains and close to Obernai. It is the perfect base for exploring Alsace while enjoying complete relaxation. The hotel offers all the facilities you would expect from a four-star property, with the outstanding highlight being its impressive wellness area of more than 2,500 m², featuring several swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas, hammams, and relaxation rooms. In summary, Hostellerie des Châteaux offers an excellent combination of luxury, wellness, gastronomy, and tranquility. Thanks to its beautiful location, well-appointed rooms, exceptional breakfast, and extensive spa facilities, it is certainly a place we would be delighted to return to.
12/06/2026: We spent a weekend there as a couple. What a shame! There was no kettle or coffee maker in the room... No slippers for the spa or tea corner. We didn't like being seated next to other people in the restaurant, even though there are several dining rooms... it lacked a cozy atmosphere. The meal wasn't exceptional, even though there were four courses for the price we paid. Outside, there was no space by the pool; all the lounge chairs were occupied by towels, but no one was sitting there! To top it all off, we were charged for drinks we didn't order... What a shame for such a beautiful establishment! We don't recommend this hotel...

Restaurant L' Ami Fritz

15/04/2026: A regular haunt for many years. Excellent cuisine, top-notch service, a great sommelier, superb breakfast. Extremely well-maintained spa area with pool, sauna, steam room, and whirlpool. Reasonable prices.
12/04/2026: I can't comment on the rooms, as I come here regularly for the exceptional, sensational cuisine. The food is fantastic, so refined and perfectly cooked. Everything is presented flawlessly on the plate. It's a symphony of the senses. The wines, naturally from the local area, are also exquisite. Top quality and very finely crafted. The service completes the harmonious experience, making you feel like you're visiting friends. Please keep it up and may you continue to do so for many years to come.
