We spent a weekend there as a couple. What a shame! There was no kettle or coffee maker in the room... No slippers for the spa or tea corner. We didn't like being seated next to other people in the restaurant, even though there are several dining rooms... it lacked a cozy atmosphere. The meal wasn't exceptional, even though there were four courses for the price we paid. Outside, there was no space by the pool; all the lounge chairs were occupied by towels, but no one was sitting there! To top it all off, we were charged for drinks we didn't order... What a shame for such a beautiful establishment! We don't recommend this hotel...

What a place to turn 40. 🎂 We spent three nights at Hostellerie des Châteaux on half-board for my birthday and left genuinely happy. The location on the Alsace Wine Route, at the foot of the Vosges, is beautiful, and the property's 2,500m² spa with its pools and saunas gives you plenty of reasons not to leave. The restaurant is the star. ⭐ Each dinner opened with an amuse-bouche, the courses built with real intention, and on our final evening the kitchen surprised us with an unprompted foie gras pâté and a full cheese course. The sommelier deserves his own mention: deep knowledge of Alsace wines, recommendations tailored to our table across all three evenings, and the single biggest reason the dinners will stay with us. 🍷 Breakfast matched the standard: a fresh juicing station, egg station, proper pastries and well-chosen local cheeses. The half-board is worth it. We also slept very well. Some honest improvement notes for this lovely family-run property to take it to 5 stars: - the rooms haven't kept pace with the public areas and the website imagery (and the artificial grass roof, not really nice to look at from the window.. why? 😄) - the pool was way too crowded and the website image shows much less recliner seats when the area was rather cramped at times especially on the weekend. - tea/coffee facilities and individual toiletries in the rooms would lift the experience (they only have a body wash in the shower - an opportunity to improve) - menus in English/German and dietary alternatives (vegetarians etc) would serve the international guests better - the pool bar closing at 18:00 on a warm summer evening, feels way too early but I saw the staff had to rush to the lobby bar (perhaps hire more?) - strength training options would complete the gym which currently has cardio only. - tvs didn’t have any working English channels and the ability to cast to the TV wasn’t properly advertised, perhaps add a proper TV smart guide? None of this took away from a wonderful stay and a birthday to remember. Thank you to the whole team, and especially the restaurant and bar team. Clean rooms, spacious and varied spa. Spa was quite busy on weekends – you had to wait in line for the whirlpool. Good wine selection, fine drinks.

A hotel that truly represents the beauty of Alsace! Friendly and professional staff, a magnificent setting at the foot of the Sainte-Odile mountain, and superb dining.

A very nice, comfortable hotel right in the heart of town. We had a spacious little suite with every luxury one could wish for. A very fine dinner – I celebrated my birthday there – in the tastefully decorated restaurant with its sophisticated ambiance. The breakfast buffet also left nothing to be desired. A lovely spa area and excellent massages.

An exceptional experience, everything was perfect: the venue, the location, the excellent evening meal featuring local products, the equally excellent breakfast, the superb room, the smiling and pleasant staff—an unforgettable experience! A very pleasant stay. The rooms are well-equipped. The spa is very well designed, and the staff goes out of their way to make the place as welcoming as possible. The restaurant is very enjoyable, whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We will gladly return.

First and foremost, my opinion is based on the level of service an establishment of this kind aims for. Having stayed in several similar establishments and enjoyed cocktails in comparable places, I feel I can offer my opinion, which I believe is justified. Firstly, the welcome was impeccable; the staff was pleasant and took the time to explain the various access points and amenities within the hotel before showing us to our room. The hotel is located in a very pleasant village not far from Obernai, a town that is definitely worth a visit. As for the room, I was rather disappointed. The night cost €265, and we were offered two bottles of lukewarm water. Of course, I don't go to a hotel expecting freebies. Once again, we're in Alsace, in a place that aims for a certain authenticity. It would have been nice to be offered some local treats, like pretzels—something typical, something that sets it apart from a basic hotel or a Formula 1 establishment. In hotels costing €30 less, we've occasionally received packets of sweets, a complimentary cocktail, chocolate—something that brings a smile to your face when you arrive in your room. We were also surprised to see that there wasn't even a coffee machine or teapot in the room. It's something quite common, but oh well. However, the room is spacious and pleasant, the linens are clean, the sheets are spotless, and the overall cleanliness is impeccable. Access to the spa is included in the room price. It's relatively spacious, pleasant, and clean, but once again we were disappointed because it was overcrowded. Access is only possible from 3 pm to 7 pm, as we only have access to the room at 3 pm. It was possible to access the spa earlier, but this required an additional fee. Nevertheless, we found the experience very enjoyable. We treated ourselves to a couples massage. For me, the experience was excellent; however, for my partner, this relaxing massage was anything but. It seemed rushed, and indeed, a full body massage plus a facial massage in 50 minutes—those familiar with the experience will understand—but such a rushed treatment during a moment of relaxation is anything but pleasant. More painful than anything else, she was disappointed with her experience. We also decided to treat ourselves to a cocktail by the pool. What a disappointment it was once again! The cocktail wasn't enchanting. Having been used to this kind of quality drink, I've come to expect a cocktail made with a couple of liquids and a pile of ice. There was no magic involved, which is something one would expect from this type of service. We still had a pleasant time, but overall, we were disappointed with the experience once again.

My sister and I visited Spa des Châteaux for the first time, and it was fantastic! We opted for the brunch + spa afternoon package on Sunday. The restaurant is excellent, and the spa is magnificent. The staff is also very friendly. 🤗 I highly recommend it!

We spent two nights here. The room is very spacious, and the sleeping area is relatively modern. The bathroom is also large, although somewhat dated in style. Everything appeared clean. The breakfast buffet is very varied, and many hot dishes are prepared in the open kitchen. There is a wide selection of muesli options and even an area where you can make your own fresh fruit and vegetable juices. The staff is friendly, attentive, and well-coordinated. The evening menus are varied and offer fine dining. The family wellness area includes a swimming pool and a sauna. The adults-only area has several saunas, steam rooms, and relaxation rooms. One relaxation room is a salt cave. The saunas range in temperature from 40°C to 90°C. There are pretzel saunas, crystal saunas, and Finnish saunas, and yes, you can eat pretzels in the pretzel sauna. Since photography is not allowed here, I don't have any photos from this area. The adults-only area also features an indoor pool with a small outdoor section and a whirlpool. Outside, there are various types of loungers and beds. There's also an outdoor pool approximately 17 meters long where you can swim laps. We also booked a couples massage. We received detailed information before the treatment, and during the massage, we were asked if everything was alright. The hotel is located in a charming village, perfect for an evening stroll. There is one point of criticism: the lack of respect shown by some guests. A sign in the adults-only area indicates that the saunas are clothing-optional and require a towel. Despite this, some guests sit directly on the sauna benches in their swimsuits. Furthermore, someone was using a loudspeaker in the outdoor area.
