We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The setting in a cellar is magnificent. We ate very well; the Franche-Comté specialties were excellent and generous. The service was top-notch, we will definitely be back!

I stumbled upon this charming restaurant quite by chance, tucked away at the back of an equally charming courtyard with its magnificent staircase. The service was impeccable, and the dishes were as delicious as they were generous. The vaulted dining room provided welcome coolness on this very hot day.

Au Vieux Comtois is a great place to discover local products! The setting is lovely; we were there for Valentine's Day, so they had a special menu that evening. It was quite busy, so the service was a bit slow, but the waitress was working alone and was still very friendly. I've been there two more times, and they're still short-staffed, so the service is still a bit slow. Also, I noticed that the glasses weren't very clean.

Excellent place. I'll definitely go back to try the rest of the menu. Remember to call ahead to reserve, even for just two people. Very good and very reasonably priced.

A truly excellent experience from start to finish! The meal was absolutely delicious; kudos to the chef for the quality of the dishes and the wonderful flavors. A huge thank you also to our server who was lovely, smiling, attentive, and very professional throughout the entire service. We felt welcomed and pampered. Thank you to the whole team; we will definitely be back.

A typical restaurant with generous portions. We especially enjoyed the dishes with morels. A big thank you to the incredibly efficient and kind waitress. We highly recommend this restaurant for discovering local cuisine.

17/07/2026: Really nice place. Very busy, but really good service and good French food. Good atmosphere.
03/07/2026: Good but expensive. I ordered one (yes, one) beefsteak tomato with creamy sauce. I was asked if I wanted fries on the side. Well, why not? The tomato was flavorful, the seasoning was generous but perfect. But when the bill arrived, I discovered that the fries were actually mandatory, and for the portion size, they weren't cheap. The main course was €14, and the few fries were €4.10! With the drink, the total came to over €25. What a shame.
