A really cool restaurant, specializing in potato dishes, but absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, it's not easy to find because of its narrow entrance. But still highly recommended.

We had a lovely evening at Le Vieux Comtois. Our dishes were all delicious, homemade with local produce. Impeccable service, and a pleasant atmosphere in the vaulted cellar. We'll definitely go back next time we're in Besançon!

A restaurant well worth a visit, from the moment you step inside to the delicious food! The quality/price ratio is very good. The only slight drawback was that the main courses were served before we'd finished our aperitifs.
However, the service more than made up for this minor detail, as it was very pleasant.

What a lucky find to have discovered this little restaurant! A long, narrow corridor, an old courtyard, and a basement room that's especially welcome in this heat. Friendly and attentive staff, generous and delicious food—in short, the perfect recipe for discovering the city and its traditions.

Excellent service! Delicious and very generous portions, the children's menu is very affordable even though a small salad or some vegetables were missing from the main course… Go without hesitation, you won't be disappointed!

Little French restaurant. They serve traditional foods from the region. The prices are very reasonable.
The lady who served us was very friendly and hard working. Yes they are probably short on staff but she managed everything with a smile and friendly attitude. She showed us the pictures of the food and gave us recomendations.
The food was very tasty. I had number 4 on the menu - saucisse de morteau, and one other sausage, ham, melted local cheese, baked mashed potatoes and vegetables. The sausages were full of meat the cheese tasted rich and creamy and the potatoes were delicious. For me definitely a reason to visit Besançon again.
