A truly excellent experience from start to finish! The meal was absolutely delicious; kudos to the chef for the quality of the dishes and the wonderful flavors. A huge thank you also to our server who was lovely, smiling, attentive, and very professional throughout the entire service. We felt welcomed and pampered. A very simple but very good restaurant. One of the few open on Sunday evenings, the ingredients are local and the service is impeccable. The wine cellar is unusual. I had the Franche-Comté platter; it was very good, but the portions were a bit small for someone with a hearty appetite. The crème brûlée was fine.

We ate there last night after a long day; we all had the Berthelot gratin, which was excellent! Definitely worth trying if you're ever in Besançon! This place makes up for the limited choice of good restaurants in the city...

A surprising entrance through a narrow corridor between the houses.
You descend to the basement and there you'll find a magnificent stone room. A warm welcome from the waitress who, very discreet, answers all your questions and offers helpful advice based on your preferences. We discovered typical Franche-Comté dishes. A real treat for the taste buds. Definitely worth a visit!

We wanted to have dinner quite early, but we hadn't made a reservation. The restaurant accommodated us anyway. The food, consisting of typical regional dishes, was very good and the portions were generous.
The waitress was very friendly despite the stress of the service (the restaurant was full and she was the only one managing the service – kudos to her for not panicking and staying cheerful).
Since it was full, it was rather noisy. But the atmosphere was pleasant. A restaurant I would definitely recommend.
