Staying at a hotel, I stumbled upon this restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! The waiter greeted us with a smile and a cheerful demeanor. The food was refined, and the wine selection by the glass was diverse, including, of course, a local Savagnin. The dishes are homemade and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the modern twist on spring rolls. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent place! Superb owner, very welcoming, accommodating, and incredibly friendly. A beautiful rabbit terrine made with rabbit hunted in the Fontaine area 😂 excellent, more than perfect! A splendid dish, a real treat! Be sure to book ahead; a very popular and highly regarded spot in the area. Everything on the menu is homemade except for the ketchup 😜 If only other restaurants could follow suit! Thank you to the owner, we'll be back very soon! We even received a farewell greeting, which is so rare! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I've been recommending this restaurant since my first visit. I've known three different owners over the past 20 years at Jadis, and kudos to Sandra and her team for their warm welcome, excellent service, and fantastic food. Wednesday's Asian daily special is fantastic, and other dishes are available on other days, but I'm a huge fan of the warm, crunchy goat cheese salad. The waiter is motivated, energetic, and incredibly efficient.

A wonderful discovery during my visit to Besançon. I had the daily special, an Asian dish, reflecting the owner's heritage. The service was quick and friendly. I'll gladly return to explore the menu.

27/08/2026: A very good experience at 1802 for a quiet and cool lunch in Granvelle. Carefully prepared dishes, a nice wine list, and impeccable service. At €17 for the lunch special, I highly recommend it! Thank you for the warm welcome and congratulations to the whole team.
21/08/2026: A truly wonderful experience at Brasserie 1802, ideally located on Place Granvelle, just steps from the Kursaal. The dining room is cozy and elegant, chic without being over the top, with a genuinely pleasant atmosphere. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and attentive, while also knowing when to be discreet: a balance I particularly appreciate. As for the food, the dishes are high-quality, well-prepared, and beautifully presented, with perfectly generous portions. You can feel the real attention paid to both the ingredients and the execution. I didn't have the chance to try the wine list, but it seems particularly well-stocked and should satisfy wine lovers. The prices may seem a little high at first glance, but in my opinion, they are perfectly consistent with the quality of the experience offered. This restaurant fully deserves its 5 stars. I reserve this rating for restaurants that have provided me with a truly remarkable experience, and Brasserie 1802 is clearly one of them.

17/07/2026: Really nice place. Very busy, but really good service and good French food. Good atmosphere.
03/07/2026: Good but expensive. I ordered one (yes, one) beefsteak tomato with creamy sauce. I was asked if I wanted fries on the side. Well, why not? The tomato was flavorful, the seasoning was generous but perfect. But when the bill arrived, I discovered that the fries were actually mandatory, and for the portion size, they weren't cheap. The main course was €14, and the few fries were €4.10! With the drink, the total came to over €25. What a shame.
