Winter on Cannes. We were the only customers in the restaurant. So I can’t rate the atmosphere. Service was good and the food even better. Nice wine too.

Pleasant setting near the fireplace. Excellent meat. On the other hand, thank you for letting the customer choose their dish quietly.

Coming last night as part of the Régates Royales de Cannes, we discovered this restaurant. Everything was impeccable: the appetizers, the wines, the originality of the menu, the service!! The prices are substantial but when it comes to eating well in an authentic setting in the beautiful Suquet district, it's much better :-). I recommend

foie gras et sa confiture excellent. Gambas flambées au pastis effectué à table. Splendide. Les petits légumes de la région avec les pommes de terres succulentes. Merci à Gilles pour son accueil chaleureux et son second très très sympathique. Musique d’ambiance française très agréable.

Avevamo letto che questo ristorante era il più antico di Cannes. Abbiamo prenotato con grandi aspettative anche perchè si trova in una delle vie più suggestive di Cannes. Ci accoglie un cameriere italiano, casinista che recluta turisti ogni minuto … cibo buono, a parte i paccheri serviti freddi, ma manca completamente l’atmosfera francese. Alla fine siamo rimasti delusi, non ci torneremo, peccato!

02/09/2024: We enjoyed their degustation menu. Their oysters were fresh and excellent. The duck was served rare and the lieu noir (cod) was very tasty. The service or kitchen can be overwhelmed. We waited over 30 minutes between courses. The dining room is conversation friendly and they offer tables on the sidewalk. The location is excellent. It is close to la Croissette but far away to avoid the crowds.

22/07/2024: We asked for some cold milk to go with our coffee (maybe a strange request, but whatever, it's not difficult to do) and the staff member flat-out refused, saying she doesn't make "anything" cold. This tiny little bit of flexibility, if the staff would make just a smallest effort, would have earned a 5-star from me, because the tartes were excellent.
13/07/2024: Very good, excellent pastries and sandwiches, very pleasant staff!
