A very good restaurant, the cuisine is varied and delicious, the choice of dishes is quite extensive, and the service is very pleasant. The place is beautiful; it's a renovated old house in Bergues. The only negative point is the noise in the dining rooms, but I think that's due to the layout of the place.

We had a wonderful stay. Besides the very friendly welcome, the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We wanted for nothing. The thoughtful touches in the lounge added to our stay, which were much appreciated. The location is ideal, not far from the Belfry. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

An unusual setting for a delicious meal. The service is quick despite being busy, and the servers are very pleasant. Highly recommended!

A very good, friendly restaurant. Typical dishes at a great price. And even though I didn't get the lucky charm and wasn't crowned king, I still got a bow 😊

Au Tonnelier

16/06/2026: Nice hotel on our way to Calais. Beautiful town with some nice walks around the old city walls. Very dog friendly place. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was so much nicer than an Ibis! A few minor points: shower only ran hot (in 2 rooms), very squeaky floorboards (room 38) and it would be good to had a few hooks for our coats.
11/04/2026: Meal with members of an association; everyone was very satisfied, the food was excellent, and the products were fresh. Highly recommended.

03/09/2026: Authentic café, cozy atmosphere, friendly service
25/08/2026: I came in for a drink, and the owner was very pleasant, and the setting idyllic. The postman's bicycle from "Welcome to the Sticks" and the framed photograph displayed inside added to the magic of rediscovering the film's fabulous setting.
