The welcome was lovely, however, we ordered potjevleesch, which didn't have much meat and lots of fries, and chicken with Maroilles cheese, which was very good, again with not much chicken and lots of fries.

On our way to the post office, we stopped at this chip shop to try a fricadelle. What can I say? A wonderful discovery! The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location is beautiful, with the post office on the right and the carillon on the left, creating a very pleasant setting. As for the food, the fries and the fricadelle were excellent. The prices are quite reasonable. Whether you're a fan of the films "Welcome to the Sticks" or simply curious to discover a local specialty, I highly recommend this chip shop.

A superb welcome, an excellent meal! We chose regional dishes, which we hadn't tried before, and we loved them! We were even able to watch the solar eclipse of August 12, 2026, thanks to an employee who spontaneously came over to lend us a pair of glasses! We didn't feel like just customers, but rather like friends! What a delicious meal and such kindness from the staff at this chip shop! We don't regret coming at all! A huge thank you for everything! We will definitely be back!

05/09/2026: We had booked a table in the main dining room, which is more authentic, but unfortunately our request wasn't honored and we ended up eating in a smaller room. The meal was excellent, and the waitress was very kind and professional! However, it was somewhat spoiled by horrible, deafening background music. What a relief when we finally left! 😅 Please don't do that to us again! 🙏🙏
04/09/2026: We had a wonderful family meal at Bruegel. It was my second visit to this restaurant, and it's just as good as ever 😊. The atmosphere was truly warm and inviting; we were seated by the fireplace, which made it even more special! I'm always pleasantly surprised to be able to order Welsh rarebit as both a starter and a main course—after all, why deny yourself something good 😄? The carbonnade was excellent, as were the butcher's cuts. Before leaving, we were able to buy a small pack containing a beer and a glass—a lovely little souvenir to take home! We'll be back 😁.

15/05/2026: A wonderful discovery! Excellent food and top-notch staff.
11/04/2026: A very good restaurant, the cuisine is varied and delicious, the choice of dishes is quite extensive, and the service is very pleasant. The place is beautiful; it's a renovated old house in Bergues. The only negative point is the noise in the dining rooms, but I think that's due to the layout of the place.
