I discovered this bakery/pastry shop quite by chance during my recent stay in Carcassonne, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Freshness, quality, price, service—everything is perfect. I highly recommend it.

Brasserie du Palais

16/09/2026: The cassoulet, a local favorite, lives up to its promise. Plus, the owner is very friendly.
06/09/2026: Well, we had dinner! And in the middle of August, it was freezing! And of course, the wait was incredible! I had to ask for water because after an hour they still hadn't served us, and it was already so hot! Water was essential! The food was okay, but the service was nonexistent!
