Brasserie Hôtel de Ville sur Lyon

While passing through Lyon, we stopped at this establishment. We received a very warm welcome from Ryan, who gave us excellent advice on the various activities available over a relaxed drink. We'll be back!

Excellent bar with a breezy terrace, I recommend arriving as early as possible, Ryan is an excellent bartender, I highly recommend it ;)

I tried a frozen cocktail for the first time. Very refreshing for summer, I loved it!

We came to eat around 1:30 pm and we were pretty happy with our visit. Aside from a slight pressure tactic of having to make our choices within 3 or 4 minutes, everything was fine. Be careful with the meat cooking; the rare burger was actually cooked medium-rare, and the fries were rather soggy…

Ryan, the boss, is very kind and has good taste in music; I spent a lot of time on Shazam.

The dishes were honestly good, but not exceptional, and given the location and price, I expected better. The restaurant has enormous potential, but it's clearly not being realized. The terrace is rather dreary, far from the typical Lyonnais guinguette atmosphere. The dishes weren't bad, but they weren't generous (even though we're known for enjoying life in Lyon). The setting isn't showcased enough; it lacks soft lighting, plants, or background music—it lacks the soul that makes you feel at home.

The restaurant was great, we ate very well, the atmosphere was lovely with good music, the waiter was very friendly and professional, and he took excellent care of his customers even though he was the only one working there – he was running around everywhere, poor guy! – but he did a fantastic job, well done! And the prices were reasonable.

During our short stay in the city, we stopped by this café-brasserie on Friday. The waiter gave us a warm welcome and invited us to sit down! Our order was quickly taken: excellent homemade fries, a delicious pizza, and a complimentary coffee! We were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely keep the address for our next visit!
