I come to Le Cabanon from time to time. The food has always been decent, as has the service. The setting is much nicer in the summer than inside in the winter. The desserts are good! It's a good place to go in the summer, provided you book in advance, of course, because the lakeside area is very popular at that time of year!

Restaurant located on the banks of the Allier River, with a shaded terrace. My favorite dish: the frog legs, they are delicious. The St. Marcellin salad is a delight. Generous portions, quick and very pleasant service.

We were greeted by Marie, and she was wonderful—a genuinely happy to serve us and remarkably kind. We laughed with her from beginning to end. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the excellent meal and the lovely evening we spent together.

29/07/2026: Nice restaurant in a pleasant setting. It's a shame we couldn't enjoy the terrace by the water... reservations were required... I tried to make one, but there was no one to answer the phone.
