⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quite simply one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, and without doubt my favourite restaurant I’ve discovered since moving to the area. Everything was spot on from beginning to end. We shared the carpaccio of scallops, veal tartare and œufs parfaits meurette to start, followed by the Charolais beef fillet and sea bass. We finished with the rice pudding with praline and the pain perdu. Not a single disappointing dish. What impressed me most was the execution. The cooking was precise, the sauces beautifully made, the seasoning perfectly balanced and the quality of the ingredients obvious throughout. Proper French bistrot cooking: generous and comforting, but executed with real finesse and without trying to be unnecessarily complicated. The atmosphere has exactly what I look for in a restaurant: relaxed, authentic and unpretentious, with warm and attentive service. Having since discovered the story behind Café de la Fontaine and the new team, I understand even more why the food has this level of precision. A fantastic discovery and already our new favourite address in the area. We will definitely be back very soon, I still have the magret de canard and the blanquette de veau to try! Highly recommended.

Everything is perfectly harmonious! The cuisine is refined and expertly prepared without being ostentatious, showcasing local produce and Mediterranean influences. Combined with impeccable and friendly service, the experience was truly enjoyable. I recommend it without hesitation.

I had a lovely supper with my husband it that restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent🤎 We had perfectly made, medium beef fillet with ideal creamy mashed potatoes🥔🥩 Also we tried a regional dish with cabbage,meat, rice and 🍅. The dish was tasty, but it wasn’t really a new discovery for me because it reminded me of a Polish dish we call: gołąbki. Still it was good 🙂 For dessert we took chocolate foundant which was best🍫 in the world! The delicate, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate centre of the fondant caressed our palates like warm velvet🩷🤎🩷

A friendly atmosphere and consistently delicious meals, regardless of what's on the menu (which, by the way, changes very often). I struggle to understand some of the negative reviews; I've always received excellent service. I recommend this restaurant 100%. The eggs mayonnaise are always delicious!

A historic local restaurant, once featured in the Michelin guide. Given the time of year, it was crowded, but we had a reservation, so our table was available. They placed us next to a very noisy table due to three children, and moved us to another, much quieter table. Service was a bit slow because there were so many customers and the two people in the dining room couldn't keep up. Therefore, the wait was fairly long to order and for the wine, which arrived late. Otherwise, the timing of the dishes was reasonable. It's a shame that my beef tagliata was difficult to chew, almost chewy, so I had to send it back and replace it with another dish. But that can happen. All in all, a nice place, although a bit chaotic inside. The staff is friendly, but in these situations, they need at least one other member of staff to support them.
